I've been using this mp3 player at the gym for at least 6 months with new sport bluetooth noise cancelling earbuds. It works really well, and I don't end up doomscrolling on my phone between sets, and it fits in my pocket so nicely and I can forget it's there. The bluetooth seemed to work in fits and starts at first (choppy), but then I downsized all my mp3's to 128k (with free online software) and it works much much better - not flawless but maybe only cuts out a few times during a workout, so totally manageable. It's my speculation it works better when the gym isn't so crowded we're not all on top of each other, but that's just speculation. I was able to easily set up playlists for my all my music and it holds tons of songs (especially at 128k). If you're having trouble setting up playlists, it follows the old Sandisk Spot Clip Plus formatting guidelines and folder structure, and there is a lot of old posts line about how to set that up. So I was able to use text files with .m3u extensions. Anyway, sound quality is great and I enjoy the EQs. The feel of the plastic housing doesn't feel that substantial, like it's fragile, but I haven't had any issues and dropped it a few times. I've never gotten it wet before though, so I don't know about that. The battery life happened to be good too! For me, at least 8 hours. One time the batter life indicator was on the last leg and so I left it going to see and it lasted 4 more hours. I'm a fan of this little guy!

I use this exclusively for audiobooks. It doesn't live up to the Sansa clip I am replacing, but nothing will. So this review is for books, not music. There is no folder for books so I put them in the music folder. As long as the book is one file (not divided into chapters), it works well. I haven't tried any books that are divided into chapters yet. It keeps your place when you turn it off and back on, but if you move out of that book it will not. The fast forward button moves faster than the Sansa. So if you accidentally hit a button that takes you out of your book it doesn't take too terribly long to get back to where you were . You can create a bookmark, but it takes several button presses. It's not as simple as the Sansa, but it can be done. You can change the speed. So far this has been the best Sansa replacement for audiobooks that I've found.

USB port is finicky. (Difficult to get it to charge) Not suitable for children. (Easy to crush.) The device is light and looks nice. It was simple to load files onto the device. Just connect to a computer and select the file transfer mode on the device in the displayed menu. The second time I charged device, I had to re-plug the USB-C cable several times before the device's interface displayed that it was charging. Others have noted the USB-C port has issues. Do check that it is charging after connecting power. The device depends on the screen for user feedback. One cannot "guess" through the menus after the screen fails. The device is not robust, and minor crushing is enough to destroy the screen and prevent audio playback. (A 2nd grader child caught it in a car door. While the door will act as a lever arm, the force moving the door was small.) The outer-shell had only minor damage, but it was enough to render the device useless. The device immediately stopped playing music and the screen broke. At a very low price point, these might be useful as disposable music players.

The player did work when I got it but it's external storage I had no way to be able to access it there's no settings to check to see if it was in read only mode or something else. Other than that I did like that the FM player did work I did try also doing Bluetooth with some music I put on a SD card and then put it in and the music sounded pretty decent just disappointed that I can't get its full storage out of the system as the system recognizes it has 64 GB of free space but not a single device for the cable that came with it to be able to charge it or read it I also tried other cables can detect the device as a storage device as a result I decided to return it and get a refund. Minus that if you don't care about having its full capacity and you don't mind buying a SD card to put your music on Device is actually pretty nice and it's a lot tinier than what I expected I was able to hide it on my sleeve the thing was about the same size as I watch which was nice and it had I guess a working alarm like like it was loud enough but definitely not one of those you'd be waking up to if you're sleeping That's more of a hey you have set a reminder type of thing.

I love this little gadget. It is small, a bit bigger than a matchbox- this is a positive. The color screen is very readable. The fidelity on MP-3 is excellent and FM is adequate- some hiss. The headphones are decent quality. Bluetooth is reliable and has a decent range. Build quality is good overall. Operation is ok, I haven't learned the knack of it yet but I can get it to behave. Battery life and charge time are good. I mainy wanted it for mobile music/podcasts while walking. 64G of internal storage is more than my library. Some of the other apps like the stopwatch, reader, etc are pretty well done. Ovedrall very pleasantly surprised- great value for the money.

Wow. Ok, given the price of this little unit, I wasn't expecting much. But I'm so pleasantly surprised! For a few years I've struggled to use my Apple Watch to simply play music on. Apple's ecosystem drives me insane and I just wanted a little device that could play MP3 files from my hundreds of ripped CDs. I had a couple of simple requirements including an aux jack, a clip, a user interface that worked reasonably well and enough storage to not have to be worry about being frugal. This little device first surprised me with how clean the user interface was. Intuitive and snappy. It works the way you would expect! For a small, lightweight device, it packs real buttons and a decent little screen into the tiny package. A real on/off SWITCH and side buttons for volume as well! The menus are controlled via a nice up/down/left/right/center and upper left and upper right buttons that work - basically - like your Roku remote. After charging, I found a spare 64GB microSD card and slipped it in. Yes, there's a menu for formatting it. Also, the user interface always lets you choose which memory location (onboard or removable) you're browsing through. I love the Bluetooth protocol - but I hate most implementations of it. This unit is just as annoying to pair and "see" that you're connected as every other device in the world - but it works fine. And, the headphone jack is the bomb! I'm surprised by the little details - like the menu for sound settings that lets you pick from "rock", "jazz", etc., but also has a five band equalizer you can customize and save. :) Nice! When you plug it into your computer via USB, you're given a couple of choices to basically "charge and play" or "charge and transfer". If you chose the latter, the device (in my case a Mac) sees the unit as a removable device and it's easy to copy files to it in the standard way. Yay! No stupid third party software required! And, there's another feature - this unit will play movies! Seriously. Ok, almost no one will want to watch movies with a resolution of 128 pixels, but if you're like me, long hikes or jogs can be made much more enjoyable if you're LISTENING to a movie that you've previously seen. Your mind fills in the visuals. See below tech details for more on this topic - but fine touches are everywhere. For example, the unit is also smart enough to remember where you left off when you stop the video and go back to the movie. Little details matter. It just feels like the developers USED the device they were creating and tweaked it appropriately. It's not perfect, of course. One problem is the lack of a manual. Seriously? I went to the manufacturer's website hoping to find details on its preferred file structures and formats - but nope. So, things like "playlists" are still a bit of a mystery to me. And, figuring out how to use FFmpeg to convert a digital copy of a movie to it's required format required reverse engineering the single sample video file it comes preloaded with. Videos must be converted to 208×176 AMV format at 21 fps, with mono 22.05 kHz ADPCM audio, for the player to recognize and play them correctly. I'll paste the proper "ffmpeg" command for all to see below. In summary, this device is great for the price. It has more features than my old iPod Nano, is only slightly larger, and is loaded with more capability than it has any right to at this price! A cheap, disposable-quality MP3 player: within 2 years of average use I am looking at buying a different product. The clip broke off after a year and a half of use (cheap and brittle plastic). The battery life is NOT 20 hours, it's more like 5 hours at most in ideal conditions (cold weather makes it less). I've had the battery die within 2 hours after fully charging, some days. There is no button that takes you back to the currently playing song, so if you're ever in a menu while a song is playing, you cannot pause. This is in spite of the fact that there are unused buttons. I wish it could go louder. The bluetooth connection occasionally has issues. There is no good way to re-order songs within a folder or playlist (they display in the order you add them). I have not used the voice recorder, radio, or other functions. "You get what you pay for" is how I'd describe this product.
