Great for coffee pot for high altitude.
When my old coffee pot quit, I bought a highly rated pot but it didn't get the water hot enough to make drinkable coffee at our altitude (6500 ft) so I returned it. Then I discovered this pot that was designed specifically for high altitude. It has worked great for several years now. It's fast and brews great coffee.

Excellent coffee and quick brew time
This coffee pot is no frills, not even a clock or timer, but it makes fantastic coffee! I couldn’t find filters meant for it, but I have discovered that it can take pretty much any flat bottomed 8-12 cup filter, or I can use a brass filter from our old Bialetti coffee pot. I prefer the unbleached paper filters; I think the taste is more pure. The coffee brews in about 4 minutes (for 10 cups) and is great! I forgot to mention that the spout is beautifully designed to pour without spilling and there is a grid in the front of the machine making it super easy to fill with water instead of the difficult corner which other machines usually have.
