It's easy to pack around and has pretty good sound for such a little guy. Primary uses are music and audiobooks and the sound quality good enough that I'm satisfied. It's not Bose, but it sure ain't bad. I use it in the shop, out by the pool and when I'm gardening. Outdoors the sound travels a bit better if there is a wall or something solid behind the speaker. The loop makes it easy to carry or hang up and the 360⁰ sound means less fussing around with location and direction. Connected to my Android, playing on Spotify, I can crank it all the way up with no distortion or crackling. But, I only did that this one time, so I could note it in the review. It's pretty freaking loud. It's solid with a rubber cap on both the top and bottom. In case of a drop, those could be lifesavers. I've never tossed it in the water, so cannot attest to it's water resistance. It connects quickly and easily to any Bluetooth device and the buttons on top provide easy access to pairing, pause and power. It will power down if left unused for a few minutes to preserve the battery. That's a nice function. I'm not wild about the HUGE volume controls on the front. I think they're ugly and detract greatly from the overall appearance of the speaker. Overall, good value for the money.

I love how simple & easy it was to get my speaker and how easy it was to setup. The sound quality is amazing! I also love the versatility of standard mode and outdoor mode. This speaker connects very easily to my devices. I also feel like its worth the money!

The Ultimate Ears Wonderboom 4 is a compact bluetooth speaker you can fit in the palm of your hand, but don't let its size fool you -- this thing pumps out loud, clear 360° sound with satisfyingly thumpy bass and greats mids and highs. It's sturdy, waterproof, has a forgivingly long wireless range, and it even floats in water, making it perfect for any situation from camping trips to pool parties, or just casual listening. I like that Ultimate Ears chose a simplistic look with bold colors for these speakers, and the silicone base helps ensure that they stay put. My only gripe is that the Outdoor and Podcast EQs kind of sacrifice some clarity to push the volume in their respective directions, but the standard EQ is so rich and the speaker is so outspoken that either problem these modes attempt to solve are really non-issues, and the fact you can pair up two of these speakers for full two-channel stereo is a big plus. In addition, the regular sound signature is so clear that you can crank the volume with no noticeable distortion. I also wish you could skip back a track with the onboard controls, but doing it on your device isn't that much of a hassle. For this price range and size, I'd say the Wonderboom 4 should be your first choice for a portable bluetooth speaker.

These speakers are friggin awesome. Got one for each of my parents for their birthdays this year. The audio is crystal clear and it also gets very loud for its size without compromising the audio quality. Great for both music and podcasts etc. Also love that you can attach a carabineer to the speaker so you can hook it onto your pants or backpack etc and have the speaker effortlessly follow you around. The different settings/features are also really cool and handy. Would definitely recommend this product and honestly any product from the Ultimate Ears speaker line as in my personal opinion this line of speakers is the best line of portable speakers I know of or have ever heard. They're priced well too. I mean they aren't super cheap but they aren't overly expensive either, it's kinda right in that sweet spot. If you've got the money and you're looking for a portable speaker, look no further than this line because the sound quality and loudness (without distortion) you really won't find anywhere else especially for these prices. I know I'm starting to sound like a UE shill at this point lol but honestly I just really do love and admire their speakers and don't think they get the credit they deserve. Anyway hope this helps!

Small but mighty speaker!!! Bought for a small beach party. Read the reviews and they are not lying. Little bean(as we are calling it) bumps! Clear acoustics, bass isn’t choppy. Great purchase!

Overall this thing is super. Great sound, easy to pair & use, tremendous volume & decent battery life. The one unbelievable idiotic feature is battery charging. There's no light or sound to tell you ACCURATELY how full the battery currently is. If you press a button it will say "Normal Battery Level Enjoy The Music" when the stupid thing is somewhere between 36% & 100%. Are you kidding me? 36% is barely 1/3 full & there's nothing to indicate if it's actually 40%, 57%, 84% or 100%. What kind of engineer came up with this & how did it possibly get all the way into production with no one saying, "this is the dumbest thing we've ever made". I had a rechargeable speaker for my 2nd Gen iPod in 2002 with 4 little red lights, 1 light meant 25% charged, 2 lights 50% & so on. Simple, clear & easy, didn't need to talk to tell me absolutely nothing. So now 24 years later & these rocket surgeons can't pull this off with all the advancements in tech over the last 2 decades?

The Ultimate Ears WONDERBOOM 4 is built like a friendly little bean and sounds like it does CrossFit and drinks black coffee for fun. I turned it on and my house said, “Oh. We’re doing this now.” The bass showed up uninvited and started rearranging the furniture emotionally. The 360-degree sound is real. I walked in a circle around it like an idiot and the music followed me like a curse. I put it in the shower. Loud. I put it by the pool. Louder. I dropped it in the pool. It floated. Still yelling. I walked away from my phone. Then I walked farther. Then I forgot where my phone was. Music never stopped. This speaker is loyal to a fault and clearly doesn’t respect personal space. Battery lasts forever. Pairing takes half a second. Survives water, dust, and my playlist decisions. Five stars. If this thing gets any louder it’s going to start paying rent.

I really like the sound quality, the stylish design, and how compact it is. The speaker is easy to carry and perfect for everyday use.

Great portable speaker ! So far, it has surpassed all the other ones I've tried. Very good sound with good bass for it's compact size. It's also waterproof and falls proof, and it floats, which is great. It seems very well made and it looks good too! Definitely my favorite speaker, I would recommend and I liked it so much I bought a second one to pair with the first one I bought. You want a solid speaker with great sound, that you can bring anywhere with you, this is it! FYI it's been a year that I bought the first one and I use it regularly (in the shower, the car, doing the dishes...) and it still looks brand new and performs as well as day 1!
