Nice packaging

This has a mild taste and mixes well. It is a mixed-type collagen, which is desirable. It contains condroitin, but none of the other common collagen-related nutrients like biotin, vitamin-c, hyaluronic acid, etc. It's seems very, very similar to other collagen products I've tried, so I'm really not sure why this one is so expensive. The seller's "store" page on Amazon lists "9 ways we guarantee high quality" which would have helped to be in this collagen product's product listing in or it's packaging. But these claims themselves aren't backed up with more information about the product testing (what testing company? What certifications/compliance standards?). These are good but for the price I would like more info because anyone can claim these things in a brochure. For example, some companies will show actual test results done by a specific third-party lab. My personal experience using this collagen is simply that it's fine; I found no issues with it. But there's nothing telling me definitively that it's better than any other collagen powder.

This collagen powder is comparable to other collagen powders I have used in the past. The powder is fine and dissolves easily in any drink of your choice. It does have a slight flavor when mixed with water, but nothing off putting. My main issue here is that for the cost, it doesn't really offer anything over other comparable collagen powders. It is labeled as a premium product, but without doing some research, I cannot tell you what that claim is based off of. Performance wise, it seems similar to other, less expensive collagen powders I have used.

My husband and I have long used Ancient Nutrition collagen powder (which I'll just refer to as "AN") in our morning coffee, and we believe we've seen a real difference in our joints, and I believed it's helped me lessen the effects of aging on my skin, nails and hair. But, when we had the opportunity to try this new-to-us collagen formula from Advanced Bionutritionals, we were open to trying it to see if there was anything we liked better about it. Here's what we found: 1. How does it dissolve? We found it dissolves quickly in our hot coffee, perhaps slightly better than AN, but very little difference if any. 2. How does it taste? My husband, who drinks his coffee black, says the flavor is more noticeable for him than AN. I like everything in my coffee, so once I've added coffee and sweetner, I didn't notice any difference between this and AN. 3. How does it work? We'll have to use this for a while to see if there is any appreciable difference in effectiveness between this and AN, since most of the effectiveness isn't instantaneous but seen over time. But, based on the types of collagen this formula includes, it's likely to be at least equal to AN. 4. What about the cost? THIS is what caused me to give this collagen powder by Advanced Bionutritionals 4 stars instead of 5. Basically, we would pay the same amount for 20 servings of this formula versus 45 of Ancient Nutrition's formula. So, with all things considered, we'll stick with Ancient Nutrition because the formulas are really close in all ways that we could tell but the price per serving is substantially less with AN.
