I buy a new one of these each year, as they can get kind of gross after being exposed to outside for many months. The one I previously ordered changed their design to have a “universal” hose attachment, which of course did not fit the hose of my AC unit. I came back to Amazon to find one that has the zipper style opening and found this product. I don’t ever use the Velcro tape that comes with these, because I find the adhesive usually doesn’t hold up and seems to dissolve from heat-I buy the strong outdoors Velcro tape and it works perfectly with this! Setting it up was a pretty straightforward and easy process, and now that it’s been up a couple of months, I can rest assured that it is doing its job. It has been holding up wonderfully so far-the zipper stays taught around the hose exiting to the outside, and it is doing great at keeping the hot air outside instead of inside. I highly recommend measuring to ensure you get the right size, I measured and the fit was perfect. For these weird French windows, I absolutely recommend this product to set up your portable AC! They’re also quite easy to take down when summer is over, thought with the Velcro I have been using, I definitely have a lot of adhesive left behind that I will eventually need to address, but it’s totally worth it to be able to keep my apartment cool during the summer!

Works great on our windows that crank outward.Customer service was awesome.Directions weren’t very helpful so install was slightly challenging.That being said install was easy in since that your just sticking up Velcro strip and attaching material to fabric.For sure was a game changer for the cooling ability of our portable a/c unit.Very pleased with the quality and durability of this product.Thankful to have something that works on windows that aren’t the standard type of window.

This was relatively easy to install. I have an old crank/casement window that opens out. It also has slight dome shape to it that I was worried might cause some issues, and it’s pretty small so I wasn’t sure it would work at all. I put the Velcro on all four sides of the frame and window, and discovered that the fabric would go all the way around the four sides of my window, with the narrow ends overlapping (I sort of tucked one behind the other and used leftover Velcro to prevent any leaks). I also had to make a few ticks of the Velcro on the frame side as it had extra length. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and the upper floor (where my bedroom is) has no insulation so it gets about ten to twenty degrees hotter than the outside temperature on warm days. I’ve had the new portable AC going for a couple hours and it’s actually tolerable to be in. Hoping that starting the AC earlier in the day will help keep it nice on our hot days. So far, this adapter works great.

Soo thankful this product was made for side open and crank open windows. Works great and really keeps the hot air out. Can be a bit of a challenge setting up depending on the size of your window but once it’s done you’ll be thankful you bought it.

Well done!This product was convenient to use with our casement window and semi-easy to install (read: our physics-minded daughter had to figure out how to install it). When it's sunny and hot, our portable AC, vented through this, keeps the 3rd floor room cool. HOWEVER, it is NOT WATERPROOF. Rain seeps through the zipper and I have to leave towels on the windowsill and floor 24/7. If this flaw was eradicated I would love it!

For several years I struggled with the problem of effectively sealing my double French window in order to vent my portable AC. Best I could do was cut to fit and wrestle into place a gi-normous piece of cardboard cut from a shipping box to cover the full window frame. Blocked the light, less than airtight, and really, really Ugly. This is a simple, low tech solution. The double-access zipper tags (intended for 2-hose AC's), allow for a hand to reach out to adjust and reposition the (single) vent hose's "snout" when necessary while maintaining a grip on the hose. While not exactly an aesthetic ideal, the strip of white fabric is far more discreet than cardboard, only one side of the window is open, just enough to accommodate the width of the hose. The curtains remain in place, I have daylight, and the street view is barely noticeable. And, yes(!), the AC cools efficiently. Because it had to line the top of the one open side of the window as well as the vertical gap between the two, it took nearly the whole length of the fabric, with only inches to spare. I am in a drought area, so had only one wind/rain event in several months, but it held up to it. Once the weather cooled and the AC stored, I had to also remove the hook strip of the velcro to be able to close the window normally. It lost most of its "sticky", so may have to buy/cut some new next time.

Absolutely insanely confusing to install and almost impossible to get sealed properly. This thing is a joke. Two to three of us couldn't even figure out how to put it up properly so it's nice and neat. It's just a mess. Using duct tape would've been easier to seal the window.

I'll be upfront, I have a sliding window and not the required window this product is for. With that said, the short of this review is that it is totally worth it.This company has a version of this for sliding windows on their website, however, when I tried to order it, it just kept saying my card(s) were not accepted. I said I am going to try it regardless. It arrived today and was pretty easy to figure out where exactly I need the velcro adhesive to make it work and it works perfectly. No leaks, fit great, room is much cooler now.If you're like me and you struggle to get a kit to work for your window due to how un-even it is aligned, this is your best bet. Took me no more than ten minutes to get it installed and not remotely a problem. Just measure the length and width, add up both totals in CM, then buy the appropriate sizing. It's that simple!

Er zat bij mij geen spleet waar lucht doorheen kan komen tussen de kant waar de raamscharnieren zitten en het raamkozijn, waardoor ik uiteindelijk alleen de 3 zijden van mij raam hoefde af te dichten. Had hierdoor dus een raamafdichting nodig die voldeed aan de lengte van de 3 zijden en niet van de 4 zijden zoals normaal zou moeten. Hierdoor was ik even in verwarring, maar hiermee geholpen door Hoomee klantenservice en zit nu allemaal goed. Een uitstekend product voor de rest.

Très satisfait de ce tissu de calfeutrage.Franchement, je suis très content de cet achat. Le tissu de calfeutrage est assez simple à mettre en place et l’installation ne pose pas de difficulté particulière. Une fois installé, ça tient bien et ça donne tout de suite une impression de produit pratique et bien pensé.Pour le moment, il semble faire correctement son travail et aider à mieux isoler l’ouverture de la fenêtre autour du climatiseur mobile. Je n’ai pas encore eu l’occasion de le tester pendant les très grosses chaleurs, donc je préfère garder un peu de recul sur l’efficacité maximale, mais les premiers résultats sont vraiment encourageants. Honnêtement, je reste très confiant pour la suite.En résumé, c’est un produit facile à installer, pratique au quotidien et qui semble efficace. Pour l’instant, je suis pleinement satisfait de mon achat.
