Excellent mount. I used mine in a semi-portable mount for my Simrad GO7-XSE, so I can move it from boat to boat, and so I can remove it for outdoor urban storage. The base fit fairly well for the Simrad, although I did have to drill new holes. I really like that you can rotate the mount with one hand. That is going to be very convenient. I wish that Amazon sold the JohnnyRay spacer, as I had to make my own out of Starboard. I also wish that JohnnyRay would offer a blank, oversized base with no holes in it.

Just what I needed
It’s plastic, but it seems made well enough. It holds my Garmin Vivid Striker 9sv securely. I love the swivel option and the fact that it is low profile. You’ll need 1/4” screws or bolts to secure the base to your craft. The hardware to attach your sonar to the plate that goes into the base might depend on your sonar make and model, but the plate could handle up to 1/4” hardware.

Works
Purchased this to mount a HB Helix 10. Works great. Originally purchased a JR-208, but returned it because the release lever was too difficult to work. This style is much easier.
