Excellent quality for the price.
For the price, this is an excellent bit of kit. It's not the best hi fi sound quality but you're not paying top hi fi price for it.I bought it for playing while working in my shed. The sound is very good for the budget price and is loud enough. It's compact and practical. Bluetooth connectivity is easy and overall it's very easy to use. I'm very pleased with it.

Excellent sound from this small unit.
This is a really useful addition to our household. We mainly use it in our kitchen and both my wife and I have been really impressed with the versatility and sound quality in this small unit.It even plays FM radio channels without the need to extend the aerial. And CDs and Bluetooth work equally as well. We would highly recommend this small unit. For its price we think it is exceptional value.

Compact, genuinely portable and good quality sound
This is SO much better than the last couple of CD/radios I have used. Easy to use, and the best thing is that it is rechargeable so I can take it round the house to listen while I work in rooms where there isn't an easy place to plug it into a mains socket. It's also a neat compact size so sits on the kitchen counter most of the time, loading from the top which also saves space.I'm still enjoying my huge library of opera CDs and the sound from this is very acceptable, with the capacity to bump up the volume on huge Wagner tracks (our neighbours are far away!), and pause it quickly when the phone rings or someone comes into the kitchen to speak to me.I haven't yet set up Bluetooth to play into my hearing aids, but that is a possibility too as it works for other devices.

Portable, great sound, really pleased
Compact size with a great sound, and even a cassette player at the front. To be honest I wasn't expecting much for the price, and I'm not claiming it would replace an expensive HiFi system; but it has actually exceeded what I was expecting from it. The CD sound is clear, and I was able to play the music at a reasonable volume without distortion. Having a remote, which I honestly didn't think I'd use initially, is actually very useful, and works well. A standard black unit which fits in to most surrounding, and easily portable, but it does have a rechargeable battery, so I can even use it outdoors this summer.Good value for money, would recommend.

Tape Player Runs Fast
First impressions were good. The CD player worked fine, the unit charged with no issues and the sound quality wasn't awful considering the size of the unit. However, the FM radio was nigh impossible to tune properly and was full of static - albeit good enough to leave on for the dogs to listen to.I brought this mainly for the cassette player though, which is why my rating is so low. The tape player motor itself is incredibly loud, but for some reason mine played at what seems to be 1.2x speed. The weirdest thing is that a few other reviewers have said theirs ran slow. In this day and age it should be fairly easy to set a constant voltage for a motor to run at (unless of course the motors themselves are faulty.)What also seems weird is that because nobody else makes cassette players anymore, there is absolutely no need to push out this absolute dross with no care given. They could easily increase the price by £20 and cover the cost of more expensive components. There should also be an onus on amazon to check these products thoroughly to prevent half of the stuff imported from China going straight to landfill. Absolutely disgusting how much cheap rubbish is manufactured.

Compact
To be honest the sound isn't the best, but I wasn't expecting that from a player this size. It was more to relive my youth playing some tapes. The tape player is a little noisy, and the sound a little muddy through the speakers but this is exactly what I remember from my youth as well.Overall, for the price, and the fact it can run on the built in batteries it's a great little player as long as you aren't expecting high end hi-fi quality. It takes up very little space as well so that's a bonus.
