Great Picture Quality
This is my first projector so I can only compare picture quality to my LG OLED. Of course the picture quality isn’t as great as an OLED but I spend much more time watching TV on my new projector than I do my OLED. One noticeable difference is the detail in blacks and dark scenes. But that’s an OLEDs strength so you’d expect a difference there. The projector gets plenty bright. I attached a picture taken in the day, with the blinds open and snow reflecting bright light inside and football still looked excellent. I watch a lot of football, hockey, adult animation (Bobs Burgers etc), sci-fi and fantasy movies and everything looks great. I also have my Xbox hooked up to the projector. I have paired the projector with a JBL 1300x soundbar and a 100 inch Silver Ticket screen. I also decided to ceiling mount my projector. One of the selling points for me was all the auto correction this projector has. I watched a lot of YouTube videos showing the auto screen fit working flawlessly. Again, this is my first projector. I learned A LOT in my first foray into this project. I was disappointed at first. I originally had my projector setup at the back of my den on a shelf. No matter what I tried the auto screen fit would not work. After doing the manual keystone correction it looked great but it was a pain to adjust every time though. That was user error however. The projector needs to be within 1.5 and 3 meters (5 to 10 ish feet?) away from the screen to auto adjust. That’s why I had to end up mounting the projector to the ceiling so I could get it closer to the screen. Once I did that, the auto screen fit AND auto focus works great. However, I wish it did a better job memorizing the screen fit once powered off and back on. The screen fitting is slightly off whenever I turn it back on. It’s not a huge issue because it takes 30 seconds to do the auto screen fit again. Much faster than the manual method. I don’t notice much if any lag at all when playing CoD. And playing Avatar on this giant screen is so cool! I’m thrilled with this purchase. I didn’t want to go cheap on my first projector because I wanted a great experience. I also didn’t want to spend 10k. I did a lot of research and I’m glad I landed on this model. No regrets.

An amazing projector
This is an awesome, super bright, 4K laser projector with 3D capability. And reasonably priced! Had some concerns before purchasing, and I suspect that many people probably have similar concerns. Is it bright enough? We use projector in our living room, which has a lot of ambient light. There is conflicting information out there regarding the brightness of the projector, so I was not sure that this projector will offer a meaningful brightness update to our existing one, which is also a 4K projector with nice colors, but with only 2400 lumens. I was wrong! This projector is so bright, that I permanently set the brightness to 3 out of 10. As long I don't have all the blinds wide open at the same time, 3 is bright enough on our ALR screen. I suspect that many would find 3 too bright in the evening. The first photo shown here was when my son was playing video game on it, with all our ceiling lights turned on with full power and pointing towards the screen, and the projector's brightness set at 3. This shows you how bright this project is (having an ALR screen also helps!) Does it suffer the dreaded "laser speckle" problem? I didn't even know what laser speckle problem was until I started searching for laser projectors. Some mentioned that it's worse with ALR screens. *Unfortunately*, that's exactly the type of screen we have. I was comforted by the fact that this projector claims to have eliminated >90% of the speckle problem, but I was still concerned that the remaining portion could be problematic. So far, I still don't quite know what exactly laser speckle problem is, because we haven’t experienced any on our ALR screen. To the four family members in our house, none of us could tell any difference between our old bulb projector and this new laser projector, as far as "speckle" is concerned. As a matter of fact, the picture looks gorgeous on our ALR screen! DLP rainbow effect? Our old projector uses non-DLP tech so we didn't have any potential rainbow effect. So far, no one in our household has noticed any rainbow effect, or has felt uncomfortable watching shows for extended period. So we're very happy about that. Now other aspects of the projector we really like - The image is sharp; it's smart in many ways - it will automatically adjust the picture upside down when hanging from the ceiling; built-in Wi-Fi 6 is fast; it came with very decent speakers, so impressive that I don't turn on our AV system anymore when watching regular shows; it can adjust focus automatically; it has a screen auto-fitting feature, which makes screen adjustment super easy; the laser beam automatically shuts down when you walk in front of the projector. The project can play 3D discs (yeah!!), which I really, really appreciate. Watching 3D movies with this super bright projector is a treat. When my son plays games using the projector, he was pleasantly surprised that almost all feature boxes were checked, except for two associated with Dolby Vision, which this projector does not have. Now the not so great - it doesn't have any lens shift, so the initial installation becomes vital if you don't want to lose too much picture quality (using digital keystone adjustment will cause loss of resolution). As a comparison, our old projector is much more forgiving with its horizonal and vertical lens shift. It would also be nice to have a lens cover. While having 3D capability is much appreciated, the 3D menu seams to be a little clunky. Shouldn't this smart projector be able to auto detect that 3D content is being played and know what type of 3D content is being played? I hope this will be addressed with a firmware update in the future. Overall, a very satisfied customer.

Amazing image quality and really useful features.
The JMGO N1S is a really great, full featured 4k projector at an affordable price. I was actually looking for a 75”-77” OLED or QNED display when the JMGO N1S Ultra caught my eye. I know that projectors can’t really match the image quality of transmissive display, but the ability to get to monstrous sizes at a very reasonable price is incredibly enticing. The integrated tilt-swivel mount was another detail that got me interested. With 135 degrees of tilt and 360 of swivel built in, it is incredibly convenient to aim the projector at the ceiling or on different walls (I hadn’t yet set up my 100” ALR screen). It is small and light enough to conveniently move around if you want to use it in other locations. Even projecting on matte white walls or ceilings, the image was bright and very vivid, not at all muted as I was expecting. (Tip: If you are going to project on the ceiling I recommend getting a low profile 90 degree HDMI cable or adapter to make tilting completely vertical easier). With 3000 ANSI lumens, the image still looked very good even during the day (my windows and sliding glass doors have translucent white cloth vertical blinds so there is still quite a bit of light with them closed). At night, with room lights off, the projector never needed to be set higher than the lowest brightness setting with an image size over 80 inches on the white wall. The auto keystone correction and obstacle avoidance are also quite impressive to see. With the features turned on the projector runs through them on start up. The keystone correction does what you expect, but the obstacle avoidance actually pans and zooms the image to avoid things in the way (in my case a track light on the ceiling that encroached the edge of the image and a framed piece of art on the wall). The swivel base can be removed in case you want to mount the projector on the dedicated accessory floor stand or dedicated ceiling mounts that JMGO have available. The autofocus is very accurate, and the manual focus (in the menu system) is easy to use very precisely when needed. The projector automatically dims to protect eyesight if it detects someone walking in front of it (the lasers really are that bright). Images are very sharp and crisp (even when zoomed out to a small image when the projector must be down sampling and interpolating). The contrast ratio was very impressive considering I was projecting on a white wall, images had detailed shadows and highlights. The projector also features Google TV and Netflix as wells as the apps you’d expect like Max, Prime Video, etc. With the built in Apps, WiFi 6 and BT 5.1 you don’t really even need to plug anything in besides the power (even has a USB port if you want to throw content on that way). I haven’t tried it yet but the projector also supports 3D glasses. Additionally I have found out first hand that JMGO are very responsive and helpful from asking them some questions via their chat on their website. In summary I have found the NS1 Ultra to be an excellent 4K projector due to its great image quality and rich feature set.

Very good laser UHD projector with a few caveats
I previously bought and returned the JMGO N1 Ultra 4K projector and gave that model 2 stars due to severe chromatic aberration (at least in the unit I received) and some soft focus issues. I am pleased to report that either JMGO has fixed the chromatic aberration in this newer iteration of the projector or my previous unit was simply defective. I looked long and hard at the picture under different lighting conditions, playing back different types of HDR and SDR media with varying contrast levels. I couldn't detect any significant purple fringing or color separation with the N1S Ultra. I did notice that the soft focus issue is still present when running auto-focus. I had to manually adjust a few steps to get the focus as sharp as possible. Even when I turned off auto-focus at startup, manual focus adjustments were required frequently after startup in order to obtain the ideal tack-sharp focus. This is not an issue after initial startup. The projector does well at holding focus for the duration it is powered on. But it became somewhat annoying to have to do every time I powered the unit on. The only other minor issue for me (YMMV) was the lack of Dolby Vision support since most of my offline media is encoded for DV and looks odd when displayed on a projector that does not support the DV standard. HDR10 may be fine for most but with this projector's ability to attain very high brightness, I feel like this is an unnecessary shortcoming. Also, black levels are not remarkable on this projector. Other than those quibbles, I feel that this is an excellent projector for most consumers not looking for the very best contrast in their viewing. The projector otherwise offers superior brightness and great depth of colors and pleasing overall picture quality. It's leagues better in every way than the JMGO N1 Ultra I briefly had and should work for most people aside from those who are very picky about contrasty images. It's definitely worth an audition in your home with Amazon's return policy.

Good projector but there are disappointments
The picture quality is great but could be better tbh. But for a projector at this price point, I was expecting the keytone correction to be more smooth without any human intervention. I still had to adjust the 4 corners myself even after the automatic keytone correction. It's biggest I've always had with my much cheaper projector. I was really hoping for a better UX than this one.

Fantastic Picture and Sound With Robust Android Interface
This projector is the real deal. The image quality is exceptional, and more importantly, it’s controllable. You’re not locked into a fixed setup—you can zoom, reshape, and precisely fit the image to your space, even if the projector isn’t centered. Mine sits about four feet off-axis, projecting onto a light gray plaster wall—not a screen—and it still produces a clean, well-proportioned image. That alone says a lot about the processing and correction. What surprised me most is how well it handles non-ideal conditions. The projector actively compensates for wall color, so you don’t need a perfect white screen. I can shift between a darker, more cinematic image or a bright, high-impact picture with sunlight in the room, and it holds together in both cases. The triple laser system is what separates this from typical projectors. You can watch in full daylight and still retain clarity, contrast, and color. Blacks stay grounded, colors are saturated without blowing out, and the image has real depth. It’s the closest I’ve personally seen a projector come to an OLED-like experience—and I don’t say that casually. For playback, I’m not using the built-in Android system. I run an Apple TV through one of the HDMI ports (with ARC) into a surround sound setup. If you go this route, use high-speed HDMI cables—it matters for stability and performance. That said, the built-in speakers are better than expected. The Dolby audio is full enough for casual use, especially for something like an outdoor movie night or if you’re prioritizing budget on the projector itself. But realistically, the sound is still coming from the projector’s physical location. Even though it fills the room, it doesn’t match the scale of the image. If you care about the full experience, a dedicated sound system is the move. If you’re expecting a traditional projector experience, this isn’t that. It performs in conditions where most projectors fall apart—and that’s what makes it worth it.

JMGO N1S Ultra 4K Review – Almost One Year Later
I’ve had the JMGO N1S Ultra 4K since November 20th, 2024, and after almost a year of use, I’m still very happy with it. I mainly use it for movies and streaming, and gaming is more of a bonus for me, but it’s been excellent in both areas. For movies and streaming, the picture quality is fantastic. The brightness is perfect for watching even during the day, and the colors are vibrant, making it feel like a mini-theater experience. With Google TV built-in, I can quickly switch between apps, and the setup is incredibly simple—just connect to Wi-Fi and you’re good to go. While gaming isn’t my main focus, it’s a great bonus. The JMGO N1S Ultra 4K supports up to 120Hz refresh rate at 1080p, so even fast-paced FPS games run super smooth without lag. The projector keeps up easily, and I can enjoy gaming just as much as I do streaming movies. I did have a minor issue with the projector turning off on its own earlier on, but I believe it was software-related. Thankfully, that hasn’t been a problem for several months now, and everything’s been running smoothly. The projector is still quick and responsive, just like it was when I first got it. For its price, I don’t regret my purchase at all. It’s been a solid investment, and it still feels like new. Whether for movies, streaming, or the occasional gaming session, I’m very happy with my purchase.
