Floats great
This is a great product. Our 1 year old likes using it, it’s light weight and forces her to float on her back if she falls over. It floats well so it’s pretty safe and performed well. The color is great and visible and it seems pretty comfortable for a 1 year old. Being coast guard approved is a great bonus since some pools (like hotels and water parks) won’t let you use floaters with out the approval

Baby never takes it off!
I appreciate that there was a hefty amount of safety information provided with the vest. It was very self explanatory to put on and adjust on my child. He is obsessed with it. Both in and out of the water he always wants me to put it on him. He eats in it, naps in it, swims in it, etc. He would live in it for life if I would let him. It is nice to have something that the baby needs that he also wants so we arent wrestling over getting him to be comfortable with being safe. Everyone's kids are different, but on the very first time ever in a pool he felt safe and secure enough to relax and float and giggle the whole time while wearing this. It fits just right and flips him on his back when he is relaxed, bringing me extra comfort in case he ever goes unconcious. I highly recommend if you are using in a pool/calm waters like we are. We have not tried it for boating activities yet though.

2 Year Old Doesn't Mind It At All
After yanking my 2 year old daughter out of our pool in over her head. (YIKES! moment), we had this thing delivered the next day. She is a short 24 month old girl, and this thing fits perfect. Since that day a couple months ago, if we're playing in the pool, she has this thing on and doesn't mind it one bit. Mind you, 90% of her playing is in ~8 inches of water on the tanning ledge of the pool and not actually 'swimming'. She is able to get on the first step down which is belly deep for her and still walk around. She even runs around the yard and onto the playset with this thing on while we're in the pool.Realize the style of this vest is to save a life, and really not just as a swim aid or "floatie". If she gets fully in without one of us holding her upright this thing appropriately flips her onto her back, face up. This totally freaks her out and she doesn't like it, but at her age, we're ok with that. My older kids have gone through the swim vest floatie phase. This is a step before that, more safety/life saving geared. Love it.

Great life vest
This was literally the 5th life vest we bought in our search for one that would fit our toddler. When we bought it, he was probably around 29 lbs but in the lower percentile for height, so it was hard to find a vest that wasn’t too tight on his chest and neck. This one gives enough room in the neck area that he will likely be able to wear it for a while. Very happy with the purchase.

Great if your child is at the upper end of the weight rating
I purchased a 30-60 vest for my 1.5 year old who was 28 lbs. It was far too large and he hated it.I then purchased the 10-30 vest and it fits him perfectly and he loves it. I think he thinks its armor. Put it on him at home and he walked around in it for hours and didn't want to take it off, which is exactly the fit you need if they're going to be comfortable on the boat.I had the Sterns brand infant vest for my first two babies and they hated it (the fit is horrible around the neck). Wish I'd have found this one back then. Days on the water are much more enjoyable with a happy (and safe!) baby.Good to use it in a pool or somewhere you can practice with them so they're also comfortable floating. FYI a poor fit (too large) can flip your kid the wrong way (face down) so check it out before you trust their lives with it.

Son kind of tolerates this vest.
We purchased 3 infant life vest and our 8 month old tolerates this one the most. He does not like it; we cannot take him out on the water (boat) yet, because he can only tolerate wearing it a few minutes at a time. We are letting him play with it on the floor and then putting it on him a few times a day for a few minutes at a time to help him get used to it. Again we purchased 3 and this caused him less discomfort than the others did.Son loves using his mambo baby float in the pool, never one fuss with that float, it however is not safe for boating. So this Stohlquest life vest, is probably the best or close to the best vest for babies on boats, but not the best for babies in pools.

Very secure infant Life Jacket
I bought this for my 3m old daughter for an upcoming lake trip. It fits her snugly with no concern of it slipping off. It is easy to adjust so it will grow with her for several years. I have not used it in the water yet but she did not seem to be bothered by it for the 15 minutes or so I had it on her. It is cumbersome to carry her with it on (as I expect with any life jacket) but I check to make sure I could lift her by the shoulder or handle (in case of emergency) without strangling her and it worked great. While I would not use either of these methods for normal transportation of your little It would work fine in an emergency without cutting off their airway. All in all, I am very pleased with my purchase and feel much more confident having her on a boat with her wearing this.

Best infant PFD on the market!
Let me start by saying this is one of the best infant/toddler life jackets (PFD) on the market. There are many uneducated reviewers that don’t understand the true purpose of a PFD and that is to keep someone afloat for rescue/recovery. This does exactly what is is designed to do, and does it very well. This jacket is a Type II therefore it will NOT always return the individual to the face up position, however in calm waters it MAY do so. PFDs are NOT DESIGNED TO SWIN IN! Although many people do swim in them it is not it’s intended purpose, therefore you should always have a infant/toddler under DIRECT supervision while using this device. This is a good quality PFD and performs as expected!
