I've tested many of these "brain function" supplements available on Amazon in the past year and have written reviews about my experiences with them. What I've realized is the recommended Serving Size needs to give me some kind of noticeable effect on improved energy and/or brain function within an hour or so or I'm pretty much done with it. If the supplement is supposed to have a positive impact on brain function, then I think it's pointless to keep taking it every day while waiting 2 or 3 weeks to actually feel that positive impact.Another thing I've noticed is some of these supplements are not what is promised on the product label in terms of capsule/tablet weight. Some weigh more than what is stated on the label and some weigh less. So I now weigh capsules/tablets from new supplements before I even take one. And I always start out with only one to make sure I experience no ill effects from it.Specifically regarding this "AMVILAB Citicoline CDP Choline 500 mg Strengthens Brain Function" supplement, these capsules weigh 70% more than the weight of the active ingredient listed on the product label. To limit error, I weighed 10 of these capsules and they were 8.5 grams (8,500 mg). That means each capsule has an average weight of approx 850 mg (photo).You'll notice on the label the weight of the single active ingredient is stated as 500 mg. So the extra 350 mg is "Other ingredients: Rice flour, gelatin (bovine) and vegetable magnesium stearate", which is also stated on the label. If you prefer to take "pure" supplements that only contain the active ingredients that you're paying for, then this one might not be for you. It's just something else to consider when making a purchasing decision.Personally, I'm more interested in results and getting what I paid for in terms of product weight. For example, if a capsule is supposed to weigh 500 mg, then it better weigh at least that much on my scale. But I'm also not interested in consuming 500 mg of something that doesn't give me the desired effect, like improved brain function.I will say that about 20 minutes after taking my first capsule of this supplement, I did start feeling some improved brain function and a mild energy boost. I was able to focus on writing this review with ease, despite multiple interruptions. I'm also knee-deep in the meat of preparing our taxes and this single capsule got me a good 6 hours of improved brain function when dealing with that.Keep in mind that everyone's body is different and they react to certain supplements differently to some degree. I can only report how I felt or didn't feel the effects of any given supplement I try. I do like this one, but it's pricey compared to others I've also tried and received a positive energy and/or brain function effect from. Only you can decide whether the current price here of $1.50 per capsule fits into your budget to not. I'm very disappointed for expiration date it is just one month. I was decided to take it later, but now I must take it immediately

The bottle says take 1 or 2 daily making this either a 15 day or A 30 DAY SUPPLY, so at $80 a month max it is not cost effective enough for the average person to do. I have not noticed a difference at the 2 a day over the past week, should this change over the next week I will up date my review

I have only felt a slight change since taking this, starting with 1 a day. I’m going to have to bump it up to 2 a day but am hesitant for the cost.I’m very self-aware of my cognition lately, I’ve been struggling since I had to switch a mental health medication from an extended release formulation to an instant release and taking it several times a day, because of a national shortage of the controlled substance. It doesn’t work the same at all and I’m trying to help with various supplements. I can feel/tell when something is working or not… So far it’s been a minimal change, but I’ll take what I can get.

I don't know how to rate citicoline. It's not the kind of product that has an immediate effect. I don't feel any different after taking this citicoline than I do for other brands.This brand is much more expensive than other brands I've tried. No idea why. Or why anyone would be willing to pay more than necessary.

Got these supplements to help in strengthening my brain and memory function. The ingredients seem to be good. Love that this is a non-GMO formula. Capsules are vegan and easy to take with negative reaction. It is a little pricey for just 30 caps, but this is a quality supplement.
