I've machine cleaner.
The product works well but I don't think it needs to be. Used as often as. They say. Nice soapy hot water with dish liquid works just as well with A good rinse and run 1-2 cycles through to make sure the ice takes out what ever bit of soap may have been left behind. The product works well.

Made cleaning my ice machine much easier
I had never used a cleaner before, and dreaded using a vinegar solution and gingerly trying to scrub every surface. This does lot make the buildup disapper like magic, but it cut my cleaning time at least in half by making the buildup much easier to remove. Very happy with the product and the price.

Seems to work
I drained, cleaned and turned off my countertop ice maker last fall and when I set it up again this spring there was a dirty residue inside. When I ran water through it to clean it gunk came out so I was afraid to use it. Before I give up on it I thought I’d try descaling and deep cleaning it and that’s where this solution comes in to play. I ran one cleaning cycle with this cleaner, drained it and then ran a cleaning cycle. There was some junk that came out so I continued to run the cleaning cycle with fresh water 5-6 times until the water ran completely clear. The strong smell dissipated with each cycle. Did the cleaner help? I think it did but I’m not sure it cleaned it out completely. I’m going to run another cycle of the cleaner in a few days and see how it is. I think had the ice maker not sat all winter it might not have had so much dirt inside so that’s my fault. I was only running the cleaning cycle every few weeks when I should have done it weekly. If I decide the ice maker is safe to use then I will be using this descaler every week. I did notice that the bucket of the ice maker where the ice drops was a lot cleaner and I didn’t have to scrub it. There had been a film on it that I couldn’t get off but the descaled remover it just by running it through the cycle.

I’m not sure how much it actually helped
So the instructions are a bit wonky but I did my best following them. We have a generic brand of a on-the-counter ice machine maker. It does the pebble style ice and I love it but at one point we had family coming over and I needed the space to do bigger family meals so I put it away on the top of my fridge. It was only up in the fridge for like two weeks but I also live in Arizona so dust gets everywhere easily. Anyways it was pretty gross and dusty and somehow I was dumb enough to leave the lid slightly open from shoving the cord and scooper and other stuff on the inside. It ended up being dusty inside and grimy. We have a Mexican household so i know it was from all the things we were frying up those weeks. Long story short I decided to finally use this and I didn’t scrub it out I wanted to see how well the chemical itself really broke up the grime and dust. So I ran it once without touching or cleaning it by hand at all. I honestly didn’t see it touch the grime but I did see the dust get broken up. Of course dust is easy to break up with just water. So I wiped everything and cleaned the inside by hand as best as possible and I do think it did clean easily after the solution soaked into it all. I ran another cycle and that was about it because the ice didn’t appear to be gross looking and when we used it I did notice anything funky about the taste. So again I’m not sure how much help it really did but if you do your best to clean the interior parts of the machine and then use this than I guess this is a good option to clean the interior part of the machines.
