Uncle Harryโs Toothpaste
HIGHLY recommend!! Hands down - my favorite toothpaste. The color and texture may seem off-putting at first and it doesnโt bubble, but it truly gives a โjust went to the dentistโ squeaky clean, every use. No left over toothpaste taste. Morning breath is less intense. No furry teeth at the end of the day. Even my hygienist noticed my teeth were cleaner at the next visit after I started using this paste. 4 jars lasts about a year.

Really leaves your teeth and mouth feeling clean!
I've been using this toothpaste for about four months now so I thought it was time to leave a review. As many other reviewers have stated, the taste of this is very STRONG and can be difficult to get used to. The first time I used it, my instinct was to spit it out and gag. But I powered through and found that after a few days you get used to it somewhat. Here are some tips that should help: 1. A little goes a long way. You should not have a giant glob of this stuff on your toothbrush. I only lightly dab the top of my brush onto it, so that it's ever-so-slightly dusted with the toothpaste. That's enough, trust me. If you're spitting out chunks of the paste into the sink when you're done then you've used way too much. I do a lightly-dusted brushing on half of my mouth, then get more and do it again on the other half. Making sure that you're not using too much will make it much easier to use. 2. Let your saliva mix in - because this stuff doesn't foam it helps to lubricate it and also waters down the flavor a bit. It's not that it tastes bad, but the essential oils are very strong. 3. Uncle Harry's also makes remineralization drops that is very similar to this product, but in liquid form. Also very strong in taste. But I've found that swishing with that after brushing is helpful. I recently had a dental exam after several years of putting it off. I had expected to have at least four cavities - wouldn't have been surprised at all if there were more. Instead I had only one tiny one, that was so small the dentist didn't want to bother with it. Other than that my teeth looked fantastic. I'm hoping when I go back in for my next exam the small cavity will be gone (possibly due to the help of this product). I like the fact that this product contains magnesium and calcium. I have no idea if it's actually possible to remineralize the teeth by exposing them directly to those things, but I do know that the mouth is very absorbent and at the very least it's one way to get more vitamins into my system. I would advise everyone to give this the ol' college try. Expect the taste to be overwhelming at first - you will get used to it after a few days. And only use a tiny tiny bit. At the rate I seem to be going through it, it looks like a single jar will last me about six months, and I plan to continue using it from now on.

which in retrospect was a really good thing, because I don't know if I would've ...
So I ordered this first and read the reviews after, which in retrospect was a really good thing, because I don't know if I would've still ordered it had I read all the opinions on this product. I had been reading up on the bad stuff in toothpaste for a long while, so I told myself that when I finish the tube of paste I had been currently using I'll get something better. Well I finished that tube about a month ago, and after realizing that I had pretty much squeezed every last drop that I could get out of it, I had no choice but to look into something that was healthier for my teeth. This product came highly recommended by one of the blogs I was reading as I was looking into alternative toothpastes. In my excitement to have found something that looked like it was everything healthy, I quickly ordered it, and only after a day or two did I go back to read the reviews, and then started getting anxious that I had made a mistake by ordering this product too hastily with everyone's complaints about the taste. But at that point it was too late, because the product had already shipped and I didn't have any toothpaste left. Well thankfully I've been using it for a month and I have to wonder what everyone's problem is with the taste. Like seriously, I don't know how much you guys put on your brush, but I have an electric toothbrush and all I do is just lightly pat it on the toothpaste and then brush. I make sure it's lightly coated, and that's really all I need to brush my teeth. Yes, the taste is salty, and it does take a little getting used to, but now, after a month of using it, I don't think I could ever go back to the sweet-tasting toothpaste I had been using until I switched. The first time I used it I looked at my teeth and thought "wow, they look so white!" which says something to me, because I never noticed my teeth being white until I started using this toothpaste. I think the salt acts like a light abrasive which gets the teeth much cleaner. The essential oils do burn a little, and there were a few times when my gums were stinging a bit. But I'm used to it now and it only bothers me if I get it on my lips, which doesn't happen so often, and even then it's not something I can't handle, especially since I'm gonna be washing it off in a minute anyways. I absolutely live this product, tbh, and am so happy to have found it! My teeth look and feel healthier, and this jar will last me a very long time, especially since I only use a tiny bit when brushing. As an aside, after about a month of using this product (and brushing with it 2x a day), one day last week I thought about how I still have a bottle of the ACT mouthwash that I never use and maybe I should get back into the habit of using. So after flossing and brushing, I rinsed with the ACT mouthwash, and aside for the taste being too sweet (and mine was the mint flavor too) I felt like it kind of just coated my teeth with blue #40 and it didn't leave the fresh after taste in my mouth the way it used to. I really regretted using it, because brushing with this toothpaste left my mouth feeling clean and fresh, while using the ACT mouthwash left me feeling like my mouth wasn't happy that I used it. After doing a little research, I found that most mouthwashes are pretty ineffective as it is, and that a lot of them upset the balance of flora in the mouth. So not gonna be using any of that again any time soon.

Whitens teeth, and helps gums!
I decided to try this toothpaste because my teeth were becoming translucent, and I was really embarrassed by how they looked. I was also starting to have some gum issues and wanted something that might help reduce them. I chose this toothpaste after reading the good reviews, and Iโm so glad I did. Itโs definitely not like regular toothpasteโit has a distinct flavorโbut my teeth are actually whiter now than when I used whitening strips! My gums are healing; theyโre not completely back to where they were, but the recession has definitely stopped. My teeth also look much more opaque. You only need a pea-sized amount to brush your teeth, and for one person, the jar lasts about 1โ2 months. It is a bit on the expensive side, but I think itโs money well spent because youโll see the difference in your teeth almost immediately. I also really appreciate that the ingredients are natural. Finally, I used to have sensitivity to very hot or cold foods and drinks. After using this toothpaste for three months, that sensitivity is completely gone!

Works great!
Itโs been 2 years and I havenโt gotten a single cavity since switching (I was getting 1 per year on average for at least 5 years before trying this stuff!!). Strong taste but you only need a small amount and you get used to it over time. Well worth it and the jar lasts seemingly forever. Between my husband and I, we subscribe and save every 3 months so 1 jar should last 1 person 3m or so

Great product that is fluoride free
Very happy to have found this product. This is great for those who are new to fluoride free toothpaste. Tricky at first to get used to the taste, however, it keeps your mouth fresh for many hours. Only downside is that it comes in a jar (a little off putting) and that it makes a mess in the sink.

Affordable alternative to fluoride pastes with greater potential benefits and a very clean feeling
I have never used a toothpaste like this. I have grown up with Crest, Colgate, Sensodyne, and the like, so this was a big gamble for me. My teeth have suffered from an extended period of braces as a child, without being provided the proper information by my orthodontist at the time, so my current dentist has recently suggested something different. I have been on prescription fluoride toothpaste, but my dentist told me about Theodent at the end of last year, which led me to some research on alternative toothpastes and remineralization, and ultimately to this. For me, it's not so much about the chemicals and organic nature; it's more about something that might help my teeth repair themselves. From a flavour point, this is definitely different. I typically rinse with salt water once or twice a week, so the saltiness isn't a deal breaker for me, but it is an initial shock to the taste buds. That wears off pretty quickly, however, and by the second time I brushed my teeth with this, I was already accustomed to it. The peppermint oil is a bit strong at first, but you get used to that, too, rather quickly, and it leaves a nice fresh feeling in your mouth after brushing. The feeling of brushing is different as well. Since there is no foaming agent in this, your saliva mixes with it and creates a very liquid mixture in your mouth. It almost feels like you're brushing with spit and water, save for the peppermint and salt taste. After, however, my teeth feel like I just had them polished at the dentist. They definitely feel different than brushing with a typical gel or paste toothpaste, and I like it. I can't comment on how long this lasts, yet, but I just dip the bristles of my brush in until there is a little bit on each one. I don't shave it, scoop it, or cut clumps out. The packaging says the composition of the toothpaste makes it extremely antiseptic, so I am trusting that. I will update in a couple months, however, to provide feedback on how long it is lasting. I also can't comment on the remineralization aspect of this yet, but that is another thing I will be updating about. At the present time, I have soft spots in my enamel, and decalcification in several spots where my braces brackets were located when I was younger, so I am hoping this has an affect on that. With the cost and potential benefits of this over what I have been using, I plan on using it at least until I visit the dentist for my next checkup, so I have some basis to compare the results to. I just had my semi-annual cleaning a couple weeks ago, shortly before purchasing this, so it should give me a good comparison to work with. UPDATE: Regarding how long it lasts, I just ran out last week. I have been brushing twice a day, and have been the primary user, with only 2 or 3 small brushings being someone else testing the paste. Otherwise it's all been me. Based on this, it seems to last just shy of 2 months with a typical brushing schedule.

This stuff will destroy your teeth!!!
Look, I applaud any company that put forth the effort to provide us consumers with a natural alternative to all the chemicals we are brainwashed to use on a daily basis. I am strongly opposed to the use of flouride toothpaste because flouride is a neurotoxin that accumulates in the body over time and causes many adverse health effects. Even if flouride is good for our teeth, I don't think its worth the harm it causes our bodies and brains. So, I was looking for the most "natural" toothpaste I could find and came across Uncle Harry's Toothpaste and it seemed to check all the boxes. I wasn't overly concerned with the lead warning because I know California is really strict about labeling and I called Uncle Harry's and they said the Bentonite Clay has lead but no more than your average potato would have. I began to use the toothpaste and soon realized why it had so many good reviews.. At first my teeth felt smooth and looked shiny so initially i was satisfied with the product. Then, I continued to use the product religiously brushing every morning and night thinking im making my teeth better and better with each use. After about 3 months or so, I began to see a dark line at the base of my bottom teeth. It didnt occur to me that it was the toothpaste. I thought maybe it was from drinking my 1 cup of coffee per day that's causing it. Even though coffee has never done that before, I discontinued coffee but the dark lines persisted. So I decided to read the bad reviews on Amazon for this toothpaste and saw many people having issues with it. I wish I read the bad reviews sooner. MY TEETH ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED!! The dark lines are cavities, there are cracks and holes in my teeth from using this toothpaste! Now I have to dish out thousands and thousands of dollars to fix my teeth all because I thought it was a natural toothpaste that actually worked. Although I refuse to give-up on flouride-free toothpaste, Uncle Harrys is literally the worst toothpaste on the face of the planet. I write this review to help persuade anyone on the fence about buying this toothpaste to run away as fast as you can. Avoid this toothpaste at all cost! Dont make the same mistake I did by destroying your teeth while simultaneously thinking you are benefiting your teeth. Save yourself thousands of dollars and dont make the same mistake I did. I encourage everyone to go flouride-free, but please do NOT buy this toothpaste. I devastated becaus ive spent so maby years building strong and healthy teeth and gums, only to destroy it completely in a matter of months. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Please avoid Uncle Harry's Toothpaste!!!

Best toothpaste!!
This is the best toothpaste! Our whole family uses it and keeps the cavities away. It tastes kinda weird the first few times but then you get used to it. Actually we really like it now, your mouth feels so clean. This is the only toothpaste we buy and use now. Love the ingredients and results.

For squeaky clean teeth
The tooth paste has a different taste. It does not taste sweet but it still is awesome and smells divine. It makes the teeth squeaky clean . Breath smells fresh for long after brushing. A little goes a long way. So though the bottle is small it will last long. I love the cute glass bottle in which it comes.
