It's not going to be the world's finest canvas, but I do think they hold up to a good standard. My POV is an MBA in fine art from a well-known uni and, though it's not like canvas I stretch myself, they are highly passable especially for fun projects and children. They have a decent thickness and are sturdy. I haven't tried with watercolor, but they take a variety of mediums from marker, oil & acrylic without priming- though results will vary. I didn't notice any odors to be concerned with and they had appropriate stretch. Definitely can't beat the price (especially for children just playing!) So it's a phenomenal value.

I purchased these for the toddler I nanny for. They are the perfect size for a 1 year old who gets bored after 15 minutes of an activity. We use them with finger paint, markers, and colored pencils. They have very slight texture, but are very sturdy! Fantastic value for the price!

Great bulk canvases. Some had lost tension in the frames, but that was an easy fix with a little wooden shim. I used these to make a set of small paintings for my family, and acrilic paint works great on these. Light enough you only need a push pins hang them.

Good value on small canvas painting project i wanted to. They are true to size, hold paint well and do good with supper glue (I attached magnets) They are well made and sturdy. Great price point for as many are in the set

I got these so my students could use when learning about states of matter and they melted crayons on the canvas. They turned out so nice and I loved how sturdy they were. The size was also perfect for each of them to use and take home. We had so much fun doing this little project.

I am sooo pleased with these small canvases. They are to size, square, tidy edges and a real treat to paint.
