What are you waiting for?
Three years ago we moved from a house that we custom built which included a recirc pump that provided hot water to all of our sinks within 5 seconds. It was nice to have that feature that we quickly took for granted. Although we didn't have to pay for water, as we were on a well, no one likes to waste water. Our current home was not built with a recirc system and although we are no longer on a well, we do have to pay for water and we try to conserve as much as possible. But we would have to start the shower and let it run for up to a minute until the hot water would finally start flowing. And that was the case in every sink and tub in the house. Our prior home's plumbing was built with a dedicated hot water return line loop, so I was skeptical of a recirc pump that supposedly worked with the existing piping without this extra line. But out of three years of frustration with our current situation we decided to buy this Watts recirc pump and give it a try.We have two hot water tanks so I installed it on the outlet of the second tank as instructed and installed the sensor valve that came with it under the bathroom sink the furthest away from the hot water tanks. It took me about two hours to install and get this pump and sensor unit operational from the time I shut off the hot water and drained a couple gallons of water off of the second tank until it was installed and operating. But it was two hours well spent as we now have hot water within 5 seconds throughout the house!Anyone with a basic understanding of plumbing can install this. The instructions are very concise and they provide everything you need except for a wrench and pipe thread tape. But if plumbing is not your thing, then buy this and have it installed. No more waiting and waiting and wasting water while the hot water finally makes it way through your home's piping until it finally gets to your sink, tub or shower. The pump itself is well-built and so quiet you can't hear it if you are standing next to it. You have to grab the outgoing water line and feel it to know the pump is running. And if you don't believe me, there are a whole lot of other great reviews out there that say the same thing. Personally, I am kicking myself as I should have done this 3 years ago.

Instant Hot Water and Easy DIY Install – Great Product!
I was really impressed with the Watts Heat H2O Hot Water Recirculation System. It’s a great product that does exactly what it claims—delivers hot water almost instantly without wasting time or water. The biggest highlight for me was how easy it was to install. I’m not a plumber by any means, but the instructions were clear and all the parts were included. I had it up and running in about an hour using basic tools. The programmable timer is a great feature. I set it to run during the times we usually need hot water, and it works flawlessly. Our bedroom shower is on the opposite end of the house from the water heater, and we used to wait forever for hot water. Now, the wait time has been cut by more than half—it makes a big difference in our morning routine. The included sensor valve and adapters made the whole process smooth. It’s also quiet when it runs, which was a nice surprise. Plus, the 3-year warranty gave me peace of mind.Overall, this system is a smart investment if you're tired of waiting for hot water. It’s efficient, easy to install, and adds real convenience. Highly recommended!

Pays for itself in energy and water savings.
Wow! I wish I had done this sooner. It used to take nearly 2 minutes for hot water to reach my shower, wasting energy, water, and time. It now takes less than 20 seconds!First the build quality is excellent. The body of the pump is cast iron. One connection is 3/4 in. male thread and the other is a 3/4 in. female coupling. An extra long 10 ft cord makes wiring as easy as plugging in a lamp. The under-sink bypass unit is a thick plastic/nylon. The included connecting hoses are stainless steel braided hoses. Now for installation. The under-sink bypass installs easily with just an adjustable wrench. Installing the pump could range from easy DIY to moderately difficult depending on how your water heater was installed. If you have braided stainless steel wrapped hoses or flexible copper connecting the water heater to your house plumbing, it will be as simple as using an adjustable wrench to remove the connection to the WH and installing the pump with the same wrench. (Don't forget to turn off the water, the water heater, and drain a little off the top of the WH tank) If your WH was installed like mine, you will need some plumbing skills which may include cutting and soldering pipe and measuring and installing fittings . If you don't feel comfortable with these skills, a plumber could easily do this part for you. It took me about 10 min to install the under-sink unit (including cleaning out under the sink so I could reach the connections) and 3 hours to install the pump (including 3 trips to the hardware store). All in all, well worth the time, money, and effort. I expect this unit to pay for itself in a few years based on energy and water savings.
