I love this hive & the company was a dream to work with. I would give them 10 stars if I could. So many little wonderful details that set the company & hive apart. The overall design is great! Traditional & quality construction, but with detailed upgrades. ~The corner brackets help ensure that they don't get banged up and assist in structural support. ~There's latches that hold the hive bodies together helps to stabilize and keep critters or wind from possibly knocking it over. ~There's stand is adjustable so great for getting it set up at an optimal level. It even has handy, retractable little arms to hold frames when you're messing about inside. ~I expect that the little observation windows will be covered quickly by the bees but I'm glad they exist nonetheless, so while they're starting out they can be easily monitored without opening things up. ~Everything was wax coated & thick. (Though I did replace the foundation with pure wire & wax to keep anything plastic out of the hive.) ~And most importantly their customer service went well above & beyond on fulfilling my requests and ensuring that I was a completely satisfied customer. Highly Recommend!

I am very novice to bee keeping, an i know i will face some challenges being my first year. I assembled two of these units. 1.) The units are coated in bees wax , and they smell wonderful 2.) assembly was easy , but you do need to pay attention or you will assemble things upside down and backwards. 3.) the frames that came with them were nice. again pay attention as there is a lot of parts. and putting all those frames together is time consuming 4.) I really like the base of the frame that holds the boxes up , it is nice metal material , an once put together seems sturdy. I also love the fold out frame arm holders. I am certain it will come in handy one day. 5.) Since i am just starting out , i wont need the top box yet. But i have it for expansion which is great. 6.) LOVE the little viewing windows, this will be a great help for a novice like me so I will be able to view in without disrupting the hive. overall I feel i got a decent item , an hope to make good use of it

We would recommend this item for anyone starting out with beekeeping. Sturdy and well built. We bought 2!

Great bee hive, stand is sturdy. The only problem is the supers, they are all too small for the frames and fall out, must be carefull when building and installing to make sure they stay in place. Still, would buy again.

I’m a beginner beekeeper. I ordered one of these and was shockingly surprised by how easy it was to put together. I’m no woodworker but this was well packaged and easy to assemble. An electric screwdriver, small hammer and a 10mm wrench is all you need. Pictures are self explanatory and you can match parts to the list. I think this is a great starter hive. Liked it so much I ordered a second one. The stakes are not very strong so I bought tent stakes.

Absolutely love this hive!!! Easy to set up, everything needed was included. Holding up great in the crazy Colorado weather.

Just as described. This is my second box. Takes a while to put together but is worth it

Easy and relatively fast to build and setup also smells pleasant so that's a plus. I had a few pieces of brood frames that had knots where nails where supposed to go but had a few extra pieces that it came with probably for that very reason. Overall I love it and would recommend it to anyone who's interested. Took me only a few hours to assemble once you get going it things get smoother just have to be patient and careful with it.
