Works great for my new concrete that won't destroy my investment. I was told that I had to have certain kind of snowmelt or it would void my warranty, so I found this and it works.

We’ve used this a few times when we get snow in VA. We have a long curvy sloped blacktop driveway that is no fun to shovel or slide down in a car. When I use this before the snow starts, our driveway always has significantly less snow- and is clear of snow on its own- long before any of our neighbors’. I have a big (2 or 3 liter?) plastic container with a handle that I pour this in and shake out this product on our driveway that way. I have used a big scoop in the past, but I always get some salt on my hands or gloves that way, and I don’t love that. The products that come in a shakeable bottle are more convenient to use, but the cost of this one makes it worth getting and just refilling my old bottle. I usually use 3/4 of the bag to cover our long driveway well (our driveway is probably 10-12 car lengths Long and 2 car lengths wide.)

Cons: nothing to spread it with luckily I had a pervious container for spreading salt.Horrible packaging, I've ordered it twice and both times the box it arrived in was damaged and partially opened from tears. The second order the bag came with a tear too. Easily fixable just put in a bucket.Pros: I live in Minnesota and absolutely love this ice melt, it not only melted the ice but it also melted the snow as it was snowing. I'd go out and shovel throw down the ice melt and wouldn't have to worry about shoveling again, I would however throw more out after it was done snowing to ensure the melted ice wouldn't freeze back over. Highly recommend this product.

This stuff works fast on ice.

Not only is this falsely labeled as calcium chloride (which other reviews have pointed out - it’s only 1-25% calcium chloride - the other 75-99% is sodium chloride)… it also is extremely ineffective. Standard Roadrunner rock salt does an infinitely better job. This stuff has been useless. Bought two bags, used one, and just throwing out the other.

The media could not be loaded. I decided to try this product for the 2020 snow season bought a 50lb. Bag. I am disabled and can’t shovel. My steps needed to be extremely safe, due to I have to be carried in and out in my home in a wheelchair.I have bought several different products in the past and I can say for certain that this product did the job far better and for far less money than any other product has. This was used daily on My steps, Front walkway and sidewalks. I normally have to hire the kids in my neighborhood to do the shoveling for me however, after buying this product I did Not have to have the kids do any shoveling whatsoever.This stuff worked wonderfully only needed to sprinkle a little bit down daily and it kept the snow and ice melted all winter long.What made this product even more of a hit after sprinkling a bit each day you can see and feel that there was still some on the ground when it was time to re sprinkle.It SAVED me time and money I did not need to buy any more that 50lb. Bag lasted me All last winter, I still have approximately 15lbs. of it.Normally with the Other brands I went through anywhere from 2-4 bags per 1 winter season!So in closing YES I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT
