The BBB is great if you need to keep up with new products and servicing routines. Fantastic price for the e-book, Great when you Need to know what tool you need for the job. Parktool tools are top notch so is their handbook.

I have been repairing the “families” bikes for over 40 years - fold ups to tandems - but our new bikes have disc brakes, suspension systems etc way outside my self taught experience. So a proper bike repair manual was urgently needed; this book is a revelation. So if you are new to bike repairs or an experienced mechanic this is THE book - a wealth of comprehensive information- something for every level of bike mechanic. I wish I had bought it years ago.

As far as bicycle mechanics manuals go this is about the best there is , but there are serious omissions , such as "Freewheel Destructive Removal" , "Fixed Gear Drive Chain , Gear Alignment" , etc Hence four stars .

Full of good, useful information. I bought this book to get familiar with doing minor tasks ie brakes,readjust gears,tools use.The pictures and explanations are apt and easy to follow. I feel there is everything in this book to become a proficient cycle mechanic.

Great book and teachers you all you need to know about bikes I bought this to teach myself and releave stress from our local bike shop due to these hard times..

Very informative good guides and pictures

For me, this is a reference book. I've used it to help me changing pedals and disk pads so far. It would be 5 star if there had been a chapter on fitting the rider and bike, e.g. Saddle and handlebar position, stem extenders, frame size etc. I'm currently looking for an additional book to fill that gap.

Easy to understand very helpful

A exellent reference and how to for the job I do less often on bikes. Love it. A must have if you do all your repair.

This book is a true step by step manual for fixing a bicycle. ANY BICYCLE! It is divided into sections for how to make a repair and in that section are all of the bicycle types you could ever think of. If you ever wanted to grease the crank, it tells you what tools you need and how to disassemble it, and make what ever repairs or maintenance associated with the crank assembly. I have a Schwinn Sports Tourer I bought in 1961 when I was 14 years old and I always wanted to completely service the bike so I can ride it again. I have no doubts this book will contain the necessary information to completely service to its former glory.Buy the manual it is priceless.

I initially bought the Dummies Guide to bicycle repair, but found that when I actually got to trying to set up and adjust the brake calipers on my Dad's old Moulton bike, that the procedures and pictures were rather lacking. I found some videos on Park Tools youtube channel and used those to do the job quite easily. I came across their video of the Big Blue Book of Bicycle Repair and bought that afterward and then found some tips on brake set up that would have saved me even more time compared to their videos which were also good. The content in this book is clear, logical and well presented. The illustrations are also clear and show what you need to see clearly. Coupled with the youtube content you can really attack these jobs with confidence. There is a lifetimes worth of experience from the author being communicated clearly to the reader. It is excellent value for money.

Great instruction book, amazing tips and indications to use the correct tools and how to use them to fix most kind of bicycles.
