Can You Deep Fry This?

No. They're similar to cheese puffs.

I was addicted to these as a kid and recently I purchased them and they don't hit the spot like they used to. Has the recipe changed?

There is no mozzarella cheese in this product despite what they are called. They changed it to cheddar cheese to save money and instead say "mozzarella flavor".
