Works great!
This review is for the second fountain I got. The first fountain I got worked well for the first day then stopped. I contacted the company but I wasnt getting much responses. I got a replacement through Amazon really easily and got delivered the next week.It has been a month of use and it is going strong! It does need a decent amount of sun but even when it's bright and cloudy, it runs without any issues. It does float, however I put a heavy rock inside it and it keeps it in place. The cord is long enough to follow the sun with the panel, but I would be make it visible so it doesn't get chopped with a weed wacker.Cleaning isn't bad. I do have two ducks but it's been a month and I still haven't needed to rinse anything out yet.

Works pretty well.
With trial and error, and excellent help from the customer service at Poposoapsolar.com my filter is working. I also use a backup battery and 3 extension wires to reach an area of full sun. With the back-up battery, the fountain still works in the early morning, but intermittently. Later after the sun hits the solar panel, the fountain works constantly again. The housing for the filter could be of better, heavier materials—I have to weigh it down with a couple of rocks. The wire to the solar screen could be of stronger materials—This is my second solar powered unit because a rodent ate through the cord on the first one. I’m protecting the wire on this unit with conduit. The stand for the solar screen doesn’t work very well, but I used some bricks to stabilize the kickstand. I really wanted this filter to work because running an electrical line to my pond would have been very expensive to install. I am glad that with a few modifications that the filter seems to be working.

Runs great, until it doesn't
World great, until it didn't. The pump ran great with the solar panels in our small pond, and almost lasted a whole year. Then it stopped. The filter basket works great at both keeping the pump running and keeping the pond water clear. Until the pump stoped running. Struggling to find a reasonably priced (or any, for that matter) replacement pump that will run with the solar panels.

When it works its good
Its starting making a grinding noise like not getting enough water (cleaned filters) the fountain part wont stay connected, i even went n got the battery for it so it would work when cloudy n has power surges now….idk whats wrong with it seems like a waste of money

Great for backyard pond
I love this pond filter! It snaps together easily and has a firm hold. Works excellently so far

Not bad, not perfect
Its solar powered so its performance depends on the sun. The panel does work if its overcast, but not if its TOO cloudy. I was surprised & delighted. I wish the cord was longer. 16 feet isnt that long. But maybe because my pond is mostly in shade and the area that is always sunny is a bit farther than 16 feet. Overall good filter.

Pond pump
Very easy to assemble and use. A few downsides…the fountain heads don’t offer much in the way of “power” when sprinkling. I also had to weigh the pump housing down with rocks because it kept floating. I also wish there was a way to secure the solar panels so they don’t move.It is good that the pump shuts off when the housing is empty.
