You will need to purchase new thermal pads and paste or the new fans will burn out too.
This card is a bit of a pain to take apart, but I got it done. If you want to do it right you have to replace the thermal pads using 2.0mm thickness and whatever thermal paste for the GPU itself. So far so good. They are quiet compared to the oem ones that were starting to go bad. I got my 3090 used from New egg for $699 about a year ago. It was probably in a mining rig, but for the price I took a risk. And coming from an RX 6700 it was a major upgrade. Now these cards cannot be found or less than $1000 used. This gpu market is absolute trash for consumers. Hence trying to keep it running is crucial I may never be able to afford to buy another GPU in my lifetime. Thanks AI and Jensen's greed and his greedy shareholders.

Awesome replacement for the stock fans, solved my problems with it grinding and they're quite as well in comparison to the stock ones.

Not sure these were new
One of the three fans in the set was working rough. Once connected, the fan made a loud noise when spinning.

Excellent! Very quiet.
These are great... the GPU is completely inaudible compared to what it was before. I used them to replace the stock fans on my Zotac GeForce 3090 GPU. One of my old fans fell apart as i removed it, the fan was in two pieces and the internals of the fan were powdered rust! I'm very glad I bought these.
