This is a solid, well-made wooden grill scraper that fits perfectly into the grates of my Traeger. The wood is thick and durable, the handle feels comfortable in hand, and it’s very easy to use. I really like using this instead of metal scrapers or steel wool. It cleans the grates effectively without making a mess or introducing metal debris, which I prefer for both cleanliness and safety. It does a great job maintaining the grill while staying simple and straightforward. Overall, this is an easy-to-use, no-nonsense scraper that works exactly as intended and feels built to last.

I picked up the Traeger BAC454 Wooden Grill Scraper specifically for my Ironwood 885, and I’m glad I did. I’ll admit, I laughed at the design the first time I saw it in a hardware store. But once I realized it’s shaped to match Traeger grates exactly, it made perfect sense. It scrapes the grates really well, pulling up the built‑up residue without damaging anything. I usually follow up with a quick wipe using a cloth, and the whole cleaning process is much easier now. I also like that I can hang it right on the grill without it getting in the way of the cover going on or off. Simple tool, great results

I enjoy cleaning my smoker without worrying about metal bristles flaking off and in to my food. This Traeger wooden scraper takes away those fears and does a great job. I might see about ways to keep it looking good over time.

I ordered this because it was suggested on the traeger website that this would be the best for cleaning my grill. I find it a little cumbersome for me to use and it looks really easy when you look at the YouTube on it but I have to put a lot of effort into it to get the sides of the grill bars clean. Maybe everybody has that problem I don't know. I am a woman. But I eventually got it pretty clean

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Giving it a 5 because it doesn’t work for my Woodridge Pro, but it didn’t say it would. The grates are clearly a different spacing than the other series. So if you have a Woodridge, Pro or Elite. This one will not lineup for your grates.

I really wanted to love this scraper since it’s wooden and designed for Traeger grills, but honestly—it’s just okay. Compared to my metal scraper, this one doesn’t get the job done nearly as well. I kept it around anyway, maybe out of loyalty to the brand or wishful thinking, but it rarely gets used. For the price, I expected better performance. It looks nice and feels sturdy, but when it comes to actual cleaning, it doesn’t quite hit the mark.

Works great on Traeger grill

I use this on my BBQ, and it cleans the grates without damaging them. The wood feels sturdy and grips nicely. I like that it naturally shapes to my grill over time. Great accessory if you want to avoid metal bristles.

If you keep using this it conforms to the shape of your grill. I find it's one of the best alternatives to a brush grill scraper

Excellent quality design and wood, works great

It's a nicely made wooden scraper with good angles on the handle and scraping ends. It's good quality and well designed. Unfortunately it really doesn't do a whole lot on a grill rack. It kind of knocks off the heavier stuck on bits, but doesn't do much beyond that. You still have to use a grill scrub pad or balled up aluminum foil or, god forbid, a stainless steel grill brush to get everything clean and shiny. I use grill cleaner and still as nice as this scraper looks and feels, it's just not very effective at scraping and cleaning a stainless grill. I keep it hanging on the grill because I really like how it looks and feels, but I rarely use it unless there is some really large material stuck/burnt on to the grates. It's sort of a first big pass tool rather than a get your grill grate smooth and clean again tool.
