Nice l little sets for small Meeks, the graphite stirring rods don't hold up the best depending on the temperature but for the price it's worth it.

I knew these were small, but I was not prepared at how small they were compared to the set of crucibles I have. The tools I have are too big to manipulate these unfortunately so I have not tried out the crucibles yet. However they look to be amazing! Nice and thick, sturdy, should hold up well! The molds are nice, pretty standard and also good quality. I also appreciate the graphite rods, but be aware that these rods are brittle. They can withstand much, but are still easy to snap if you are not careful. So be deliberate in your movements. The length is good, but I feel this is better for when you use a blast torch to melt pewter, or if you have an electric furnace. Should be just about right. I am not sure I am going to use them with my gas furnace and it is a bit taller/deeper. I may try it, but I have not yet. I have protection from the heat, but I don't want to catch my gloves on fire! I am probably over cautious in that regard but while melting metal is a ton of fun, it is also still quite scarry! (note: In the picture, I did get the rods , they just were not in frame of my picture)
