This does work sometimes. I actually got one pin loose. That is all I could do. I watched a lot of youtube's It is made well, but is a pain to make work. I would not buy this again.

Works well, just learn how to use it. I swapped the EPS connector with one off of a Nvidia Tesla adapter so I could lengthen the cable, worked perfect. I did 32 pins and no issue. The first time you try it it'll take a minute to figure out. All you need to do is push, it'll align its self and push until you can gently pull the wire out. Fit perfect, didn't damage anything. Well worth the price even if you use it a handful of times.

Used this to re-pin a 3rd party psu cable since the wait time for a custom one for my brand would have taken long. Did exactly what i needed it to do. It is delicate and will bend easily if you do not use it straight.

I wonder if a stronger material could be used. It bent out if shape on my second use in two months using it on a Molex connector.

let me remove and repair the pins I messed up using a paperclip on a 24 pin motherboard cable that probably would have cost me at least $40 to replace. If the pin is really damaged it can be a little tricky but there is no way you are using screwdrivers or something to get this done. You need the tool.

If you are a novice pc builder or are splurging on your own, I highly suggest get custom colored PSU extension cables. This tool allows you to re-map to a new color pattern from the stock pattern. Just be very careful with how much pressure you apply to the tool. Any slip and you’ll bend the tip of it in the plug housing.

I have used other tools before that either did not work or were too flimsy and bent or broke after a few uses. This one works well and the price is right. What works well: Fits and releases Mini-Fit Jr. contacts cleanly—no damage to the plastic housing when used correctly. Significant savings versus ordering from Molex or DigiKey while performing the same job. Sturdy enough for occasional to regular use without flexing or bending. Nice storage case. This one is important for a tool like this that is easy to damage. What could be improved: There are no replaceable tips, but I cannot complain at this price point. Just get a spare. I feel like the prongs could be slightly longer. It takes some juggling to remove the pins. It is probably just due to my lack of skill. Overall, this one just works. Recommended tool.

The case is a pain in the asssss to open. The clip thing I cant figure out how to put on the pen tool. However the tool works great for removing PCIE power connector pins. I got what I paid for, thank god. Had a lot of bad luck with amazon sellers recently. This guy sells what he advertises. And ya wiggling the wire in and out of the connector a little can help get it seated right to easily remove. The tool takes practice but the learning curve was short. Some connectors will be easier to undo than others. My stock seasonic psu pcie power cables were easy to remove. Some cheap splitters that I harvested for parts were very hard to remove. Practice makes it work out though. thanks vendor.

I've tried a few different ones. This one is a beast. The tips are so strong. I custom make pc power cables often and constantly break the tool. But not this one. Its tough

This tool helped me take pins out of an ATX plug. The metal is a little soft, but with some care, you can set it back to its default shape.
