Just what I needed. Solid brass and good quality threads. Comes with gaskets. I have a dehumidifier that sends water to the container that has to be manually dumped. The connection for a drain hose only worked sometimes. I would go in the basement to discover the bucket full and the dehumidifier off. I finally decided to put a new drain directly in the bucket. This fitting was perfect. I capped off the old connection and moved the drain hose to this new fitting. I had to raise the dehumidifier up on a wooden stand so the fitting is higher than the condensate pump but now the unit stays running. No more dumping the water manually.

This worked great to connect a garden hose to my buffer tank for my pressure washer.

Used these to build a rain barrel with a hose hookup and they worked perfectly. Installed first try with no issues whatsoever — leak free immediately, no adjusting, no fussing around. For a DIYer these couldn't be easier. No special plumbing knowledge needed, just straightforward and simple. The build quality was actually better than I expected for the price — solid, well made brass that feels like it'll hold up long term. One thing worth mentioning — if you do get a leak that's going to be on the installation, not the fitting. The product itself is exactly what it should be. And if you're debating brass vs plastic for something like this, go brass. It's worth it. Great buy, highly recommend for anyone doing a rain barrel or similar DIY water project
