I wanted to teach my child to be semi bilingual if possible [I am not but trying also] this helps me and him to work and have fun learning together. Also gifted it to a family member for their child and they too loved it. Simple to use slide the card in, rechargeable which is a plus no batteries. Already bought bought it again.

My son was 11 months old with 100+ words(including animal sounds BUT not including words he'd just copy when he heard them.) is it bc of this? Probably not but I can say it definitely helps! Hes 16mo now and I can't keep up with his vocabulary! Although he would still rather play with it on his own than me helping him lol! Not doing Spanish yet, but once he hits 24months that's the goal!

This is a very good item; however, the only reason that I gave it a 4/4.5 is that it was smaller than I thought. This is not talking against the product itself because it is good and easy to use.
