I'm positive I clicked the option for them to take my old dishwasher and packaging away, but they didn't and there was nothing mentioned on the order conformation. Even when I asked they said they wouldn't take them. So I took them to the local recycling centre myself. The machine is very good, very quiet and does the job.

We’ve had this for about 6 months now and it’s been absolutely perfect for us. It holds quite a lot of dishes and we haven’t had any issues with it. It was easy to install and cleans everything well. Love the design, the quality seems great, and it fits perfectly in our kitchen.

I love it, but herself is not keen on the new cultery basket position compared with the old Bosch we had for about 10 years. It seems better built, especiallly on the front panel, as that broke fairly easily on the previous machine. It is very quiet. It certainly cleans well. Is it good value? Time will tell. It comes with a 2 year guarantee which is great and this can be extended to 5 years for a small fee.

Time saving? I and my husband struggled for 45 mins between us to separate the 'fine fliter' from the coarse filter, right from trying to lift out the filter section passed the rotating arm whatever direction it was in. The arm had to be lifted out just to clean the filters! The the instructions to; "Press the locking catches together and lift the coarse filter out." were impossible for me and a 20 minute struggle for my husband. See the photo below to understand the small, very thick chunk of plastic that you have to squeeze, both sides at once. Once my husband had achieved this, he asked how I had got the unit out. "With difficulty" was my reply. He spent yet another few minutes working out the the arm had to come out to refit the filer unit. Tried all angles and rotator arm positions. It was not easy and I am being deadly serious here. We could have washed up, dried up and put away our dishes and cutlery by the time it had taken us both to tack this simple task! Seriously fed up that, starting at a 8.00am, it was fitted back in by 8.53am!! Bosch are a good make but designed by people who seem not to understand the elderly or weaker physically. Honestly, we are both avid gardens, have two dogs and generally cope with life pretty well! Very disappointed but having used this a few times, not cleaning the filter each time as it is such a struggle, we cannot return it. Ugh!
