ZUCKER™ B712 Turkey Quills Dyed Feathers 10-12", White, 4pcs

This is my first time attempting to make quills and these feathers were great. They are long feathers with a sufficiently long shaft, which allowed mistakes to be made because they can be corrected. Boil some water and try putting the shafts in to allow them to be shaped and cut easily. I would recommend these to anyone, whether they are new or experienced for quilling.

The kids absolutely loved writing with these. They held up really well all day (I bought 2 sets) -at first, I tried to use a razor to cut the tip of these but I'm hopeless at that. So we just dipped the whole pen into the ink.Also; I had to cut off just the bottom few feather bits (the soft part) of the shaft so that the kids could hold them.I did tell all the kids to please be very careful. The kids had a great time & didn't want to leave the station where they were writing with the quill pens. This was definitely a highlight of the day. And so affordable!!!!!

Well for the price and quantity of these feathers,I was expecting a very quality full feather.but nope 👎 they came damage in the package. As if they picked the poorest feathers with no consideration for their business.First and last time buying from here.(Don’t brother with these they are cheap).

I bought these for Colonial Day for the Fourth Grade at my son's school.I bought these, I bought white, and I also bought white with a black tip. I had all colors of ink for the kids to choose from. I decided at the last minute not to use the black ones only because then the kids might mix up the ink colors from quill to quill.However, if I had only 1 color of ink (say, black or blue), then I would have definitely used these. And I know we would have loved them. The kids really thoroughly enjoyed using the quill feather pens for writing. They really loved them and did a great job. Didn't want to leave the station!

I originally thought thought these feathers would be more....well....feathery. However, they are very stiff from top to bottom, which is great for writing, but I would have at least preferred the very top to have a little more play to it. The stem over extended the feathering on the top which makes for a very potted and sharp top. Just wanted to point that out.If you want quills that are a little more light and feathery, do not get these turkey quills.

As Expected

Used one feather in a hat for a costume. Worked great with some tape and glue.

Used it for a paint project and was great. Good quality for the price

Nice and cheap, a few of the feathers are a bit worn but it's to be expected with the cost and nature of the item. They took quite a lot longer than I was expecting to reach me though which meant I actually had to buy alternatives for the project I needed them for but I will find a use for them again I'm sure
