Unique Gooseneck Tea Kettle
The Bertille small stainless steel tea kettle is great for heating water on the stovetop for steeping tea leaves or tea bags. A tea kettle with a long thin gooseneck spout is essential for an easier and more precise pour, so that the tea leaves in a pour-over filter are properly infused at the right speed for the best flavor. You can also make barista-quality pour-over coffee. Here are four things that make this tea kettle unique:1. The little Bertille symbol at the bottom turns red when the kettle is hot!2. The knob on top has a built-in thermometer for optimal temperature control!3. The natural woodgrain design of the handle adds a nice decorative touch!4. It comes with a matching airtight canister that holds 1 oz of coffee beans! The only purpose of this tea kettle is to heat water and not to actually brew tea or coffee in it. If you add any other ingredient to it, it will be difficult to clean and you may damage its interior. This tea kettle is hand wash only due to the wooden handle, another reason to only use it for heating water. You can also use the tea kettle to boil water for oatmeal, instant noodles, hot cocoa, and other things that need hot water. This tea kettle is ideal for making a few cups of tea at a time. The full capacity of this kettle is 1.2 liters (5 cups), but the functional capacity is only about 1 liter (4 cups). Don’t fill it up so much that the water level is higher than the top of the spout, or it will overflow as I found out the first time I used it! Oh, and when you get your new tea kettle, wash it by hand with warm water and dish soap and rinse it out well.

Fancy coffee kettle
This kettle is cool-looking, and also functional! Fantastic for pour-over coffee and for tea as well! We wouldn’t recommend brewing anything in it- it is great for boiling water, but I would be concerned about long term cleaning. Due to the gooseneck pour spout, we’ve found it easier to dispense exact quantities of water than our old kettle. An attractive, functional kettle with a little airtight container, for coffee or tea storage. We love this kettle!

I did not know what I was missing!
I drink 2-3 cups of coffee in the morning, depending on the size. This pot is the absolute perfect size. I make pour over coffee and the thermometer is clearly marked as to the optimal temperature. I didn't know it was optimal until I tried it and it was so much better than just using a regular tea kettle and catching the water at the whistle. Once the water makes it to temperature I can immediately turn the heat off. The kettle retains the heat really well. The knob on the lid is coated on the bottom with a silicone type material to prevent burning. That said, the knob is near three very small vent holes, so take care not to linger if you remove it; the steam will burn you but the knob on top is fine. I actually like the wood look handle on the pot. It reminds me of bakelite from the 1950's. When the water is barely in the green zone I carefully wet the filter around the top of the coffee line and then try to saturate the grounds lightly. The grounds seem to bloom really fast at this temperature. Once the thermometer is in the middle of the green zone I turn off the burner and start to slowly pour. I've noticed my pour seems more regular and goes faster with this pot. I basically end up with two consecutive pours and end up with about 30 oz of perfect coffee.

This gooseneck kettle is a must for shabby chic lovers
This kettle functions so well for drip coffee or hot teas and looks like some shabby chic. It works on the gas stove top and I have not try it on induction stove but I guess it will work since it’s steel one. The only feature it lacks is to set the temperature so you have to watch the thermometer on the lid to make sure you don’t boil or heat the water too hot.

Excellent pot!
This is an excellent pour-over pot. The quality is great, and the thermostat is helpful if you are really a coffee snob like many in my family are (proudly). The handle stays cool on and induction stove, so if you are using a gas stove, you'll have no worries there. It looks great and has been given a gold star for the coffee people in this household.
