Ticonderoga My First Pencil Sharpener, 1 Hole, Large Barrel, Yellow/Green

Works great for the My First Ticonderoga pencils! My 2 year old (almost 3) is able to use it with supervision easily. I appreciate that it has a cap so shavings don't leak out everywhere. Seems to be good quality as far as sharpeners go. I can see it being great for kindergarten classrooms!

I don’t know why I’m so surprised at how amazing this sharpener is, considering the impeccable reputation of Ticonderoga pencils. This thing is incredible!!! It sharpens to PERFECTION…and I am the ultimate perfectionist. I sharpened about 10 pencils upon opening and it is consistently impressive. I also must mention the safety features. There is a lid that shuts so little fingers don’t get cut. The price is right…so excellent value. It is not messy, as the shavings go into a holder and it is super easy to empty it out (I already tried). The color matches the packaging for the pencils. It seems to be very durable, especially since it’s “manual.” This actually is nice though, because it means that it is easily portable. I can’t say enough great things about this product, I am pleased. I put a “before” and “after” picture for you to see for yourself!!!

I have a couple of these for my grandkids to use because they always seem to want to sharpen their pencils at the same time. I also bought one to have at school because my electric sharpener keeps getting jammed. They are easy to use and work well.

Good pencil sharpener. Very helpful for the larger size pencils that will not fit in traditional pencil sharpeners. Took off one star because it does break the lead off from time to time but overall works pretty well.

The Ticonderoga My First Large Barrel Pencil Sharpener has been perfect for my 10-year-old son while drawing and sketching. Needed a sharpener for our thicker pencils that our toddler uses and this was the perfect match. Works great and is very easy to use.

This works on the “my first pencil”s; it is HARD to find a sharpener that sharpens the little triangular pencil, but this works great! It’s very sharp inside, so I probably wouldn’t let a kid use it without watching them do it. Cheap, too!

I was a bit hesitant at first to purchase this sharpener and the coordinating pencils as I was nervous it seemed a bit "gimmicky" or like a cash grab. I was pleasantly surprised when they both arrived. The pencils that go with this sharpener have been a complete game changer for my little learners. They are an odd width so this sharpener is definitely needed for the pencils, but is worth every penny. I have never had a poor sharpen on our pencils with this bad boy and it has been one of our best purchases for our homeschool learning room.
