Lenovo USB-C Dual Display Travel Dock - 7 Ports, Integrated Cable, Universal Compatibility, Two displays at 4K - Black

.It's tiny, which is not bad from my point of view. For reference, I placed the business card holder in the photo. The USB-C connector attached to the unit is not user-replaceable ( expected, but a disadvantage). My old device and docking station only worked with a D-Port, and I connected to this unit's D-Port adapter - no picture. I connected the device directly to the HDMI port, which works fine and is sufficient for my needs. I will research later what is not working with the DPort adapter or DPort in the unit and update the review. So far, I like the device, and it's answering all my needs

I gave the product five stars because it works as expected, but only supports ONE additional monitor for TWO in total. The other monitor is your laptop screen. I misunderstood ‘dual’ to mean two extra screens, not one extra screen plus your laptop screen. This would be great for traveling when you can’t carry a lot of things with you, but for someone like me who needs two extra screens, this is not ideal. I returned it, but the product does work for supporting one extra screen.

**update**. Lenovo replaced the product and I haven't had an issue in a couple years with daily use. I updated this product to 5 stars. My original product was faulty. *update* Product failed within a couple months. I reached out to support and was told it isn't compatible with two of my Lenovo computers. I asked for a compatibility sheet since it's not disclosed anywhere. I finally found someone with compatible computer and it was the same issues. It's basically a big power pass through at this point. I reached out to Lenovo again and will update with their response. I needed something I could use to display dual monitors while on the go. The build is adequate and sturdy. I haven't had any issues with connectivity. It's plug and play which was a huge selling point for me. It's definitely a value for the money. It's light weight and small. You can easily tuck this into your laptop bag while on the go. It's about the size of the computer mouse. It doesn't seem to generate any heat or noise. I'm satisfied with this purchase and would purchase again if I need to.

First few months it was working properly but now I’m having trouble to use all the display related ports, which includes usb-c, hdmi and even display port with my MacBook Pro and LG curved monitor. I’m getting no display errors for hdmi and display port and use different cable for usbc.

This is a great little dock that is really well thought out. Would be a 5 star item except that it doesnt quite do what it says when it comes to the power supply. This says it can pass through up to 100 watts of charging power but thats not exactly true. I have an X1 Aura edition, gen 10, and this dock does not pass through sufficient charging power which causes a constant stream of alerts from the laptop about slow charging and insufficient power supply. This leads to longer term issues with the machine. A quick call in to Lenovo's tech support has also confirmed this dock is not compatible with a number of their newer laptops, of which mine is one. Its worth checking on that before you buy this. But if this works for you then count yourself lucky because it really is a well built and designed little dock at a very reasonable price point.

Solid and reliable Used this one for years

I’ve had this for about 5 hours. Been using it on my MacBook. 1. Won’t charge your MacBook. Power cord need to be plugged into ur Mac. 2. Working with 2 ssd and one 5tb HDD all plugged into this hub. It shuts off and turns on. Stopping my workload. Cannot run all those simultaneously. Which is an issue since this device won’t charge your Mac. Will only handle one ssd and one 5tb HDD at the same time. 3. For some reason my ssd feels hotter than usual. The hub seems a little warm. 4. Love the size and portability. The quality seems nice too. Overall it has all these usb and usbc plugs but you can’t use them all cause the hub can’t handle that work load. I think original price is near 100? Maybe little less. I personally wouldn’t spend that on this. I got this on sale so I’m debating on keeping it. Idk if there is anything out there that’s better for this price point.but I’m on a huge budget and this is nice for convenience. But if the prices for all the others are the same or more then I’d have no choice to get this. I do have another little usbc hub I got for 20 bucks a while ago that I can probably connect to the other usbc on the laptop so I can increase my workload and not overdo it with this one. I wish it could handle the load. For the price I paid like closer to 60 I might keep it. I’ll update this review once I start working with editing and transferring braw files to ssd and HDD. I want a hub that plugs into the wall but that are too expensive with prices going insanely high. I cannot afford them even on sale. But this is nice for the fact u can take it with u anywhere.

Works well but keep in mind: if your laptop power settings are set to 'best performance' /and/ you're utilizing two monitors for your setup, your batter will drain slowly, percentage point by percentage point, unless you use a 135W power adapter as the power source for the dock. I tried a 65W power supply and now a 100W power supply and both resulted in battery being drained during use rather than charging. I will soon be upgrading to a 135W supply as I cannot sacrifice performance for battery power in my profession. Keep this in mind when purchasing.
