Excellent read for any Gemini
I've always been one for looking 'beyond' what's around us, and weekly horoscopes are a good example of my pursuit for re-assurance, or general validity on the subject of forces we simply can't ignore. And for a while now, I've been looking for a nice book to "brush up" on the subject of star-signs, and everything related. This proved a difficult task - where are all the books?I probably found it hard as I was searching for a book dedicated to Gemini's, but eventually came across this little guy as I found a series of books titled "The Enigma"; each with their own dedicated star-sign, written by the same author. I ordered it straight away!I suppose with any book like this, it's hard to review it in a valid sense; Zodiac's, afterall, are only as good as the person who understands the planets well enough. Luckily or author for this book (and the series presumably) is a positive, chirpy, but down to earth character who amazingly seems to know you like a best friend. It's quite incredible just how much can be discovered about your soul through the arrangement of planets, but it proves that their is indeed a force out their that though we understand in a structural sense, we have no idea how it works scientifically. What the author does, however, is presents to you a clear understanding of how the arrangement of the planets from when you took your first independent breath makes you the person you are today. Also described are cross related instances; the fact that none of us are purely Gemini, but a mix of other signs. Some of this can drift off when you realise "Hmm... This isn't me at all", but other formulaes present a clear interpretation of the real you.The purpose of all this, of course, is that the author wants you to understand yourself better. To make a better person of yourself, and to be able to use your qualities/skills to an improved degree. As she describes, this is most interesting with Gemini's because were such a bunch of characters. Their is something about us that none of the other signs have (No dis-respect to all the other signs of course... Hey, we can't help it!)Once you begin to understand yourself better, theirs a genuine satisfaction, but also mellow, or even uplifting mood you'll gain. It's a mix of knowing such things as why you've failed in relationships in the past, or just why you're so witty in conversation! These have proven to be vital advantages from the book for myself; Being a typical Gemini, but plagued by shyness from my mums side of the family, I can understand how I would normally behave if I weren't such a closed book. And I understand this further because I feel it everyday, and always have done.Typical traits/behavioural patterns that the author highlights alot all seem to be in the romanticism and creativity area, which I think sums me up, though obviously I can't speak on behalf of yourself. Mood swings... non-stop journeys to achieve a dream... being rather a "player" when young with partners... Or even just the fact that we Gemini's tend to live separate lives. Though in our day-dreams/thoughts, we see a different person that can be manifested with a best friend, a different side of you comes out with different people. It is this constant change, accompanied with our difficulty in expressing emotion that makes us both loved and hard to deal with emotionally.I've given this book 4 Stars; I would have given it a 5th, but I felt it was a bit shorter than I would have liked. Indeed, theirs only so much to talk about, but the author on several occasions will say "but I have only touched this briefly" or "I've only touched the surface", which leads me to thinking that a chunkier book could have been achieved. Credit to her though; she just wants to create a simple and easy to read book, which I'm thankful for, as my Gemini attention span doesn't go beyond day-dreaming about travelling, trekking a jungle, or romance...See - You can even use your new found knowledge for excuses!Tom

What a load of rubbish
I bought this as a gift for someone as I thought it would be a bit of light hearted reading to reflect on their personality traits, likes and dislikes, but it was masquerading as something 'serious' was really dull to read, with typos and the worst type face I have seen. Rubbish
