Gel by essie Longwear Nail Polish, Deep Red, Spiked With Style, No UV

I still haven’t found a better brand for gel effect nails. I’ve tried OPI over and over, Chanel and even Hermès. These Essie ranges are just better in terms of shine, durability, colour richness. Some colours, the ones with glitters or shimmering do take longer to dry tho

I LOVE this polish. I have renamed the colour “MY Red” because it’s exactly my perfect shade of red. This came before the top coat and it didn’t wear so well on its own. When the topcoat was delivered I took it all off and reapplied 2 coats of polish and one topcoat. My nails look lovely and shiny. They dried quick and most importantly lasted for 10 days before signs of wear at the tips. I am in love! It is more expensive than some brands but I’m really looking forward to treating myself to one or two other colours.

Excellent product lovely colour

Does the job great shine. But it stains the nails underneath after multiple rounds of acetone it doesn’t budge just spreads the colour around. It also damaged my nails underneath too, so I had to spend money on nail strengthen base from a different brand. It does last a good 4 plus weeks on toes and can go without the touch up top coat weekly on toes. But honestly it’s not great on the hands I did everything by the book and still got crappy results. It is an easy at home gel dupe. But with the combination of chipping immediately on hands and nail damage I wouldn’t buy again. I will still use of toes in winter.

Great varnish, to be clear it’s not a gel (I.e you do not need a heat lamp). My varnish usually chips fast and I always have to get my nails done professionally however this varnish went on easily and lasted longer. The finish was really nice aswell.

devo dire che l’effetto è davvero molto bello, sembra quasi una manicure fatta dall’estetista perché lascia le unghie super lucide e con un finish effetto gel senza bisogno della lampada. Il colore è intenso e uniforme già con due passate e il pennello è comodo perché permette di stenderlo facilmente senza fare strisce. Per quanto riguarda la durata, su di me è rimasto perfetto per circa 7 giorni prima di iniziare a consumarsi leggermente sulle punte, quindi comunque ottimo considerando la vita quotidiana tra lavaggi e attività normali. In generale è uno smalto che vale la pena acquistare se vuoi un risultato elegante e duraturo senza dover fare il gel vero e proprio.
