Wi-Fi Module 2.0 Connects to The Basement Watchdog Battery Backup Sump Pump Systems for Remote Notification (BW-WiFi2)

Works as described. I've had it installed and fully functional for 2 days now. Very pleased I obtained it. Primary usefulness is when you're not home to hear the alarm and need peace of mind. (This device doesn't have a label with its MAC address listed. For those who need that information, just know you'll have to use your knowledge of networking to find it.)

Initially I had a problem connecting it to my home's wifi. I called support which is great and they told me to set it up near my router. That did the trick and even when unplugged and replugged in at thr sump, it immediately connected. The system is simple but has worked well.

This should be included with the main device; they make a good pump but way behind on the technology. I can get a $10 wifi set of Christmas lights. The price of this is through the roof, but they gotcha against a corner shame on them. It does not do much at all, it should tell you battery level, and how many times the pump is running along with how much electricity is being used. It does very little but if your away from home often it helps a little.

Very basic, but seems to do the job. It needed a wifi extender to work correctly in the basement, so keep that in mind.

This unit basically just plugs into the system, and alerts me when WI-FI is connected or disconnected. And even that is delayed. I’ve had my internet go down, then got notified 15 minutes later. Internet was back up by the time I got the message that it was down. You can also see that it is functioning normally, but that’s it. Does not identify any problems (running on backup, battery not charging, or any other useful information. Lastly, and the main reason for 1 star (wish I could give it zero) is that after I changed my network password (due to a security concern) I have never been able to get the unit to operate. When I enter my network password, it tells me that it's wrong. I called tech support and was on the phone with them for 45 minutes, trying this and that (kudos to them for spending that much time with me) but we never got it fixed. The tech guy sent me an email with some suggestions that I tried, but it's still no longer functioning. I'm not sure why I have kept it plugged in this long (changed my network PW on 8/29, and today is 10/13). It just flashes red and green--which is "Prepared to Connect". That's it.

I replaced my 12 year old Basement Washdog Combo Pump recently and added this updated version of their wi-fi alert system. Connects and works perfectly. Interestingly, I had to buy the optional water sensor from a third-party professional wholsaler as the unit is unavailable from both Basement Watchdog's site and Amazon. The sensor arrived and works perfectly as well. As a suggestion for software updates, I would like to see monitoring of how often the pump activiates and how long it pumps per activation in some kind of historical chart. Otherwise, works exactly as advertise!

Works great with my basement watchdog. A bit pricey though.

Added the wifi module and app after upgrading my whole sump pump system after a recent flood. Connecting it to my wifi and mobile app was a breeze. The great thing is that it monitors the whole sump pump system which is comforting during bad weather and you are not home. Recently had a controlled power outage in my area and the battery back up system kicked in and sent alerts to my email and mobile. So it is safe to say it worked flawlessly

The site on Amazon said that this was compatible with the watchdog sub pump that I had purchased it is not sold in Canada so it was imported from the states when I got it it was not compatible with the company watchdog was called in the states I was refunded 100% of my money but Amazon should not have it on their sites to be compatible with the model number that I bought in Canada
