Very easy to set up. Just plug in both the sound bar and the subwoofer. Connect the included HDMI cable from the soundbar to your HDMI Arc input on your tv and you’re done. Subwoofer connects wirelessly on its own. Very easy. Sounds good for the price range. Big upgrade if you’re currently only using the TVs built in speakers. Subwoofer level can be adjusted on the remote. Remote also has preset sound options as well as the ability to change the bass and treble level.

Having only had my TV's built in speakers before, the difference in sound once I hooked this up was insane. The bass reverberated, the sound was clear and that's just at volume being at 20. I haven't played with all the settings yet, but it is noteworthy that the power supply is universal allowing 100-240v source AC power. Super easy to set up too, plug in the HDMI ARC cable and that was it, the wireless sub connected seamlessly soon as it was powered on. And looks pretty sleek too. Very happy with this purchase.

Big upgrade over the TV speakers. But also a few noticeable trade-offs to hit the low price point. Basically, if you are looking for "cheap and good enough" you are in the right place. If you want an amazing home theater experience that feels like going to the movie theater, well, temper your expectations. It may punch above its price point, but that price point is very low and so some significant compromises are to be expected. That said, overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality here. It has more clarity and range than you expect it to have. The highs are very clean and well-defined, the mid-range isn't quite as sharp but still fairly solid. Should be fine for spoken dialogue, even without a dedicated center channel speaker. The bass is a big notch weaker and muddier, but that is really to be expected at this price. The system gets surprisingly loud without distortion. For many people, this will seem like a tremendous bargain with a big increase in sound quality for not all that much money. On the other hand, if you are sensitive to sound quality issues, it will not take you very long to realize why this thing is so inexpensive relative to other sound bars. For example, you really aren't supposed to be able to tell where the sub-woofer is located inside the room if it is set up correctly, because the low-range frequencies the sub is supposed to be exclusively handling aren't directional, meaning the human ear can't place where they are coming from. Yet, depending on placement, you can often very easily tell where this sub-woofer is located inside the room. It took a bunch of fiddling around with where it should live in my space for it to blend in with the output from the main speakers relatively cleanly. And even after trying it in a half-dozen spots, it still isn't 100% dialed in. It took me a bit to figure this out, but here is what I think is going on. Here the "sub-woofer" isn't actually being restricted to the lowest frequencies that can't be located in space by the human ear. Instead, it is being asked to cover some of what would normally be stereo bass notes handled by the main speakers on a more expensive system. Unlike the really deep stuff a sub-woofer is supposed to handle exclusively, those higher frequencies are still easy for the human ear to locate in space. This suggests that the sound engineers who tuned this thing originally were so disappointed by the bass performance of the main sound bar that they felt the whole thing would sound better if more of the bottom end bass was played mono through a single, relatively tiny, ported sub-woofer. Not exactly a vote of confidence. If you don't know much about audio, just understand that is the kind of thing you'd only ever do to hit a price point, it is far from the ideal way to handle this issue. The result is a muddy bass that still hits when you turn it up, but without any of the crispness and detail you'd find in a higher-end system. For practical purposes, that means two things: (1) I wouldn't seriously consider the even cheaper version without the sub-woofer given how much of the load the sub is being asked to carry here, and (2) you will likely have to play around with where the little ported sub lives in your room a bit so you don't have this weird effect where half of the music is coming from one part of the room and the other half from a different location. I tried calibrating the room with the "auto AI" room calibration software. I think it made a negligible difference in the audio quality from my listening position. On the other hand, physically moving the sub-woofer around does make a noticeable difference. I connected it using eARC to my TV and that went fine. If you don't have eARC on your TV there are optical and aux ports on the back as well. You can bluetooth into it with your phone for music as well. I had no particular issues initially pairing my phone although I've had to re-pair it after a power outage. I would ignore the Dolby Atmos/DTS X marketing. This is a 2.1 system, it doesn't have any surround sound speakers or height speakers, so it can't give you that immersive home theater sound of much more expensive systems. They run the Dolby Atmos signal through some kind of on-board processor that down mixes it to the actual speakers, but that is all just a bunch of nonsense. If you want surround sound, realize there is no free lunch, and you need to pony up a lot more $$. The bar is physically larger than I expected it to be, that is probably one of the reasons why it sounds as good as it does. But make sure you look carefully at the dimensions before you order this, it did not fit easily underneath my TV, it was wider than the two feet the tv sits on. Controls on the top of the unit are straightforward. No power light on the front but only the top is annoying. It is hard to tell if the unit is on from across the room, which is a total fail/miss. Why they thought it should have a light on top instead of to the front is a bit mind-boggling. Nor are there any lights on the front to show volume changes. That is a usability miss as well. It wasn't hard to set up, the sub-woofer paired immediately without issue to the bar etc. and I just hooked it up and plugged it in. Because I am using the eARC connection all the volume controls for the TV haven't changed, and I can now control the sound bar the same ways I once controlled the internal speakers of the TV. It comes with a remote control that I guess you might need occasionally. It is very cheap and low-end feeling, but it is also probably going to end up in a drawer and never get touched again after you finish setting everything up. It is fine for what it is and what it cost. I am keeping it.

We have a TCL tv that because of its placement in our entertainment console has a very thin, tinny sound. The TCL soundbar is really good. It is easy to install, the subwoofer (wireless connection) pairs beautifully and the sound is progrmable although we have stayed with the factory defaults. We have no complaints. Hoping it lasts as it makes 100% difference in the tv watching.

I love my TCL sound bar and subwoofer. My goodness they sound wonderful. It is a super easy install and user friendly. I paired it with my TCL TV and woowzers, they work great togther. I've always bought a different brand, but cannot afford that anymore. It was time to try a different more budget friendly brand and I landed on TCL. I am pleasd with this product! I will be buying TCL for all my rooms.

I honestly don't get how anyone could give this sound bar a bad review. It was easy to set up, the sound quality is great, and it's got enough power for my bedroom. It doesn't have a display, which I don't care about since my TV controls the sound. It comes with a controller and you can connect it from the TCL home application. It came with an HDMI, but I already had a high-quality one of my own.

It works excellent once you get it set up, but setup was VERY difficult. I don't have a TCL TV so I was setting it up on a Samsung. The problem was the instruction book is really bad. Very tiny print and not clear. When I went to choose input in settings on the TV the only option was optical, but it came with a HDMI cord. I used an optical cord I had and got it to work but I had to use ChatGPT to help me a lot. I found out later HDMI ARC is what you want to use because I had poor volume with optical. Again, with AI help I got it going with plenty of volume. Good unit but you will have to a semi genius to set it up without AI. Great sound now that I have it set up.
