Compact, looks good and just works.
It just works and reliably. If you're buying one of these it's likely you've moved some equipment from the UK to the USA, this is a very good product, I've been using it most days since the purchase, and I've bought a second. I use mine to power my old mini-Hi-Fi systems, and old Philips Streamium is used daily and works great, what I like is the universal sockets at the back, and there's two, just to ensure I don't accidentally plug in the wrong equipment, I still use the original UK power cords. On the front is the US power input, which is probably the only thing I'd changed, why not have all the power going in the back, leaving a clean front, with power button, however that's a pretty minor complaint. What I really like is this box doesn't look like a relic from Cold War Eastern Europe, looks fine when put next to a piece of hi-fi equipment from this century. It's quite likely you'll need this accessible so it's nice that you won't mind it being on view. Other points to note, it's not too heavy, I've got a much higher power unit for powering things like cooking appliances, but that is so heavy. It's worth going for a power level around double what you expect to use, just to keep well within tolerances. Perhaps one thing that you might not think of, the front panel button is a welcome addition, with the US sockets, you rarely have switches, this button is a great feature when you just want to turn off the power.

Does the job, and does it well
Based on other reviews, I bought this to be able to use a UK-model Sony "bookshelf" stereo here in the US. It's been in continuous operation back in my workroom for about 7 months now, with the stereo running for several hours a day (I listen to it a lot while working), and I'm well-pleased with its performance. It runs cool and quiet -- of course, I doubt the stereo is really taxing the wattage limit of this unit, either -- and doesn't appear to emit any significant amount of RF interference since the stereo has no problem receiving even AM stations despite the transformer sitting less than a foot away from it. I also like the fact that some thought was put into its external appearance so that it blends in with the rest of your TV and stereo gear, instead of being a chunky, industrial-looking black metal box like most other transformers of this type. If I acquire any more vintage UK or European stereo gear in need of a similar step-up transformer, I'll definitely buy one of these again!

Stylish & quiet
Quiet, stylish, heavy! Some reviewers commented that it was noisy & I did not find that in my environment. It works perfectly & in my application does not even get warm. Also, it is very simply to use and to wipe clean. I use it in the kitchen on a German-made electric bread slicer (by Ritter).

Great and stable product
It does its job, stable and no noise. The design looks good compare to other similar transformers. It’s quite heavy though, I can’t think of any one would bring it along when traveling. I like the product so far, two feedback for further improvement: 1. Make a black color version, it matches dark color furniture better 2. Make it even smaller Overall, I don’t have any complaints

Perfect for 220v "things" purchased overseas....
I brought home an expensive foot massager from Asia and I didn;t know it wa 220V power - took me a while and finally figured out why it wasn't working right - bought this converter with the various plug-ins for the funky Asian prongs on power cord - worked like a charm. Has an on/off switch to prevent lightning power surges if you use it smartly.

Not Reliable
After 1 year and a half of usage, it causes my amp to clip. I replaced it with another cheaper transformer and the amp stops clipping.
