Perfect, beautiful and a magnificent razor to own, I bought this with the sole intention of cutting back on waste from the dreaded disposable razors, and needless to say this done the job, at first I was skeptical about buying such a razor as I thought they were outdated and tacky, but I was wrong in so many ways. With these types of razors (not just this one) there is less wastage as you get (or I get) 5-7 decent shaves out of each razor blade, you may think that to be appalling you may not, but if you see the cost of them you will say to yourself why didn't I switch sooner, I know I did. Another point about the blade is that you get the closest shave you will ever get and less irritation post shaving, once you get the knack for this it really is simple to use, I watched one video on YouTube and after that it came naturally to me. Shave with the grain at a 30° angle kids. The only downside is that the butterfly razor feels a bit flimsy when opened but as it is only opened to change the blade I'm still giving it 5*. This product started me off on an adventure to the love of shaving, whereas I used to think it was a chore. Look after your body and it will look after you.

Reminiscing over when I was a teenager and this type of safety razor was what you bought I yearned to own one again. Todays safety razors are good but can be expensive buying replacement razors. So I went for this razor and was pleased with my purchase. Its solidly made with its chrome finish and stand and gives the bathroom a retro look. It comes in a storage case with five blades. I looked for replacement blades in the supermarkets but it appears they have discontinued selling these blades, so looking online there are many suppliers to purchase from and they are far cheaper than todays modern blades, if your on a tight budget you'll save a small fortune. I take this razor on holidays as its case makes it easy and secure. Using it you need to learn the different angle to use it and remember its not as sharp as the multi blades so shaving takes awhile longer, but I really like it.

for years i,ve been shaving using gillette mach 3 etc,etc,so thought id try a double edge razor for a change ,i read a few reviews about various razors and chose this one because of the reviews and seemed a reasonable price,it arrived within a couple of days,the razor was well packaged,and looks pretty cool on its stand ,ive only gave it 4 stars because for me its just a wee touch on the short side ,i.ll definitely use it for a a while until i get used to shaving with this type of razor ,but will probably go for one with a longer handle in time,but will keep this to use on holidays .

I was a bit concerned about shaving with this - I had seen the videos warning of everything from a really close shave to potentially cutting an artery...When this arrived, it was in a nice little travel pack, very compact and neat. Quality of the whole thing is really good, well put together and with a good weight to it.Once I had steeled my nerves, I tried this and was surprised how smooth it was to use, how well it shaved, and best of all I escaped intact. I bought this as a result of the high price of razor blades for my Mach 3, and I am really pleased I did.

This razor for the money is actually very good. For anyone interested in getting into double edge shaving I'd recommend this as a starter razor.

Like everyone else, thought I would try a DE razor as the extra blades on mach3 or Wilkinson sword are too expensive.Takes a bit of getting used to as you shave slightly differently; use the weight of the razor, 3 passes etc, but I'm quite pleased.I've been using shaving gel, but want to try a proper brush and shaving soap next.Product is decent quality, seems well built, nice stand to keep it on, and quick delivery.Looking forward to trying different blades to see whats best.

Been an electric shave /trimmer guy for as long as I've been shaving ,recently started wet shaving using disposables nothing wrong with them but the cost is rediculous and wastefull figured I'd invest in a traditional butterfly razor and I don't regret it one bit. Some technique is involved but once you get it and if you choose to get into the ritual of it all shaving soap hot towel and all that, it's quite therapeutic.

Had to change my razor as I've had a lot of problems with my skin and stuff. This is great. Takes some time to get use to this kind of shave, but its great. Made extremely well.
