Truly effective product
This is the best product I've ever used for cleaning carpet stains and traffic areas. I pre-treat, according to the directions, then use my Hoover steam cleaner with Hoover steam cleaning solution. Traffic areas look like new on my older, light color carpet. It takes time and effort to clean carpets, but when they turn out beautifully, it's so worth it!

Good spot cleaner
We recently got the smartwash carpet cleaner for our house carpets as well as rugs in our beach house. While the spot cleaner did not get out the very set in stains, it did work on the more recent ones. You need to pretreat & let it sit for a bit before you can then use the machine (with cleaning solution) to clean. I love the machine, the wash, and the spot treat is an added bonus to have.
