This paint is amazing!
Omg! I bought this paint to paint the top of my 15 yr old dining room table. The table was full of imperfections. Just wanted to paint the top black as I have many black accents in my rooms. Let me say I was scared to death, if I ruined the table canโt afford a new one. First I cleaned the table with Krud Kutter as advised on ChatGPT. I also used a primer which honestly I donโt think you need. And then I rolled the paint on. Did the edges around with a sponge and a brush. It came out stunning! This paint is amazing. I chose matte as I donโt like things shiny, but will use a semi gloss polyurethane on top. You really only need one coat, I did two. It dries very quick, and is smooth and even. I highly highly recommend this paint if you are a first time painter of furniture like me. Easy Peasy and the finish is beautiful! I ordered the coastal blue now to paint an old cabinet, canโt wait!

Just what I was looking for matte black
The paint is as it is as I wanted it matte black with 2 past the space was ready, the only thing I didn't like very much is and I don't know if because of the material or the panels is that if it is girled with the nails or some other material it peels. The paint goes a little but then everything is fine and it dries quickly and doesn't have such a strong smell

Best product on the market for refinishing furniture
The best paint for refinishing furniture Iโve ever used! Iโm refinishing Ethan Allen living room tables & a bedroom set for a move to a retirement beach house. We looked at new furniture, but it wasnโt the quality weโve grown used to over the last 47 years of marriage. Then, I decided to be daring & try Rust-Oleum Chalked All-in-One Ultra Matte in Coastal Blue. Wow! Removed the hardware, did a simple sanding, wiped it down with a clean cloth, used painterโs tape to ensure clean line & alternated between a good quality brush & roller. Every piece looks beautiful & it has a new life. An extra benefit is that we estimate that less than $50 of their white paint & the Coastal Blue saved us from spending over $4,000 on fake wood pieces of mediocre quality. Rust-Oleum does it again!

Fun project - beautiful color!
I used this to rehab a printer stand I found at a yard sale several years ago. The color is a perfect light aqua. I finished it with a couple of coats of satin polycrylic, and it is just beautiful!

Worked Pretty Much As Needed
The short story: This did the job I needed it to. It isn't perfect, but it did the job and was a little easier and faster to use that the wax I usually use. I've done a lot of chalk paint projects and I typically use a wax for it. The wax I used to use is hard to find and expensive when I find it, so I decided to try this instead. It did the job! Pros: -This worked better than I'd honest anticipated it to. -It is easy to use. -It dries quickly. -It is mostly clear when it dries. -I was able to use it on several surfaces. -It leaves the surface feeling smooth so you can tell it was coated, but it was still matte (unlike the polycrylic I used on other items that did the job but the surface still felt like raw wood). Cons -It does have issues with bubbling. Depending on the brush you use and how you apply it it can be worse. However, minor bubbling can be fixed by gently brushing over the area again while it is still wet. Excess bubbles can be smoothed out by heating the wet surface carefully with a propane torch (you could also try a heat gun or hairdryer). -Even if applied in a thin layer, you can still end up with drips. However, the product dries quickly, so I just go back around the project after a few minutes and smooth out drips, then I check again a few more minutes after that just to make sure they've all been smoothed out. -I could not find cure time anywhere on the product. This is not a big deal for products that do not come in contact with water, but I used it on my bathroom floor over milk paint and let it cure for several days before use and the seal still shows drip marks when they aren't wiped within a few minutes (it is a temporary thing just for fun, but I still wanted to know the cure time to prevent this). -This product does leave a mostly-clear layer on top, but if you add too many layers it does start to dull what is underneath. So I guess that comes down to making sure you apply properly so you do not need to over-apply. On the note of reading reviews places that claim this causes yellowing: I did have an issue with yellowing on the white legs of my kitchen table. This was after applying the chalk paint wax, though. I realized that the legs had not been sealed properly after their initial staining, so the chemicals from the stain leaked through, causing the yellowing. To fix this, I simply applied a layer of stain-blocking primer before adding more chalk paint, sanding, and sealing. I'd wanted more of a washed look, but the distressed look turned out great. No more yellowed legs! Overall, I liked this product.

Chalk paint is super easy to work with
I refinished an old 90's oak side table in my living room to give it a new look with this chalk paint. I chose chalk paint because it is notoriously easy to work with, covers well, and is durable. The serene blue color was just beautiful, and a slightly unusual color for a wood piece. Yet it matched my living room decor perfectly. The paint is thick, thicker than latex or other paints you might be more familiar with. However, it goes on well and covers completely in just a coat or two. Best of all, there's no need for sanding first! I admit, it did scuff sand a little bit first, just to assure good adhesion, but this wasn't necessary according to the package directions. Once cured, the paint is very durable with a completely matte finish that easy to sand off if you want a more distressed look to your piece. For extra durability, you might consider covering with a polycrylic or wax. I used less than half of my quart-sized can for this table. Since chalk paint is so easy to work with, I am thinking about what else I can cover with my leftover paint!

Good for painting glass.
Used this to paint the back of a glass aquarium (on the outside of course). Stopped after two coats liked the way it looked. It would have taken three coats for a uniform finish on glass.

NOT Waterproof!!
This is ok but after applying and drying, it wiped off. It is important to know it is not waterproof and needs sealed after application.

Remember to allow the paint to dry completely before doing a second coat.
Love this paint the coverage is amazing and the colour is nice. I also used their matte clear to seal the paint. I also used a foam roller as well and everything came out perfectly. Looks amazing
