How do you inflate the pool? What liners work best?

A traditional air pump like those used to inflate air mattresses will work well. The custom La Bassine liner works best.

Can anyone give advice on emptying the pool after giving birth?

You can use an electric drain pump connected to a drain hose to rapidly empty a birth pool. You can also siphon the water out using a hose.

Does this have a US hose hook up?

No, there is no hose connection. The pool is filled by placing a hose over the top edge of the pool.
