Works well in poor-signal environments
I live in an area with no landline internet (or phone) access. Mobile internet is available, but the signal quality is often poor to non-existent, and is usually slow. Weather is a major factor in signal quality, and the weather changes a *lot* where I live.I have an iPhone and an Android phone that I can use as hotspots, but, despite living in a small home, even the WiFi coverage is flaky. I’ve tried using cheap (but reputable brand) WiFi extenders but didn’t notice any improvement in coverage or performance. After a particularly frustrating set of weather, I got desperate enough to seek another solution to mobile phone hotspotting. I first checked if any terrestrial ISPs had brought civilisation to my neck of the woods, but no such luck. I even considered Starlink but the monthly price is a little out of my financial reach (only just, I’d have gone for it if it were 25% cheaper). So, I looked for an alternative and found the Cudy..Setup was trivial. I transferred the SIM from my Android phone to the Cudy, screwed on the two interchangeable antennae, plugged the Cudy into its power supply, and was up and running within seconds.Brilliant.So far, I have experienced no dropouts or loss of signal, and I can pick up WiFi throughout my home without any connectivity problems.I only wish I’d bought Cudy sooner! (Yes, I’m so pleased with the improvement that I’ve named the router)

Very good 4g router
Simple set up, works better than expected. Good strong signal and range.

Good for the price
Installed this in my local church, which has a Vodafone base station in the tower. I can get 70 Mbps download on my phone there, but only 25 on the router (same Lebara=Vodafone SIM).But it's cheap, and replaced a BT router fine for resilient Internet. (75 Mbps no problem when the fibre was repaired)

Game changer
I live off grid and was unable to get fibre broadband and the only alternative was copper, and saw this. Works well, easy to set up, using an unlimited data sim and streams video nicely. No doubt the speed depends on signal strength and I am fortunate to live close to a mast.

Better than the TP-Link 1200 it replaced and half the price..
Spot on. I bought gnis after having a TP-Link router that i needed support for. It was inder guarantee but not having internet access meant i needed a quick resolution. After 45 minutes on the phone to them only for them to tell me it needed a replacement unit and this will be sorted quickly. It took 2 days to get a reply asking me questions. 2 days later another email asking the same questions and still no replacement unit.I gave up after a week and bought this Cudy rounter. It was easy to set up and it works flawlessly. And it's seems faster. Better than the TP-Link one. I got another email from TP-Link 10 days later saying i couldn't have a replacement anyway.

Cudy AC 1200 SIM Broadband router - Review
This is an excellent SIM Broadband Router. Totally ideal for those who cannot access a hardwired cable feed at there property. The additional external antenna has also helped to massively improve the cell signal and have had no problems since installation. A real thumbs up to this product.

Useless.....
Not up to the job, tested with the sim from my phone. Phone giving 40MP/s download, this modem gives 15MP/s. Both tested in exactly the same place.Tried with known working external LTE antenna and the maximum it returned was 20MP/s.Absolutely terrible modem. This is a cat4 router so the lowest spec available giving the lowest speeds, highly unlikely it will get anywhere near a modern mobile phones download speed. You need cat6 or better still cat12 to combine multiple frequency bands from your network provider.

4g signal average even with 4g antennas
I was looking for a router compatible with sim cards for when I need to use my phone sim. This does a job but is not as good as I had hoped. I purchased another small white router for half the price with only 1 rj45 port but there was no support behind it and I had a very average 4g signal. This one had external antennas so I had high hopes that it would receive a better 4g signal. Unfortunately, the £25 device was the same without the external antennas. I am only keeping this because it has 4 lan ports and has support. It is nothing special and the 4g signal is no better.

Great cellular modem and router
I got this router to use at a campground with my RV. The WiFi here is slow and unreliable so we needed a backup solution. I got this to go with a consumer cellphone SIM. We’re in an area with weak cell coverage so I also put up a yagi antenna with 9db gain. I pointed it at the nearest tower 2.4 miles away. With my iPhone alone I was only getting a RSRP in the mid to high 120’s - essentially a dead zone. With the yagi and this router my first try improved RSRP to 114-118. Then the magic happened. After disconnecting the router and then reconnecting it I got a 99 RSRP reading. It had switched from the B2 band to the B12 band. Fortunately this router allows you to manually select the bands to use. The B12 band is great for rural areas like mine as the longer wavelength passes through trees easily and the waves flow with hilly terrain better than 5g frequencies. So I have the router set to use bands B12, B14, and B2. This gets my RSRP to the upper 90’s and RSRQ to 10. It’s a nice, stable connection. Sure, the top speed won’t be as great with this setup but it’s way better than the nearly nothing we had before.
