Awesome keychain lifesaving device (in the hands of a professional, of course)!
Hilariously awesome little scalpel. I bought this specifically to hang on my key chain and have in the even that I’m in a situation where it can be used to save someone’s life. Think about it! I’m at a restaurant, and someone starts choking. BUT, the Heimlich maneuver isn’t working! However, there’s this doctor that is like “I need to cric this dude, but I don’t have any tools!” I can whip out my handy dandy little #11 scalpel, give her a fresh blade, and the doctor can save this dude’s life! Honestly, I think everyone should carry some sort of lifesaving tool with them everywhere. It doesn’t have to be crazy, but if everyone has SOMETHING, we could change people’s lives in an emergency. Heck, maybe even our own!

Get it if you need EXTREME sharp, but expect to sacrifice durability to get it!
A beautiful little holder for an extremely sharp blade that opens easily with a single finger and gives a nice tactile ‘snap’ as it does so?! Yes please! Besides being easy to lose if not secured and having the same blades a surgeon uses to slice effortlessly into flesh? What’s not to love??? I’ll take it! Can I have 10 more? 😁 By the way, absolutely make sure you get a good pack of 100 spare blades to start with! If you’re unaware, while scalpel blades are shaper than a typical razor blade, they are also VERY thin compared to a typical pocket knife blade and VERY brittle/fragile. You will nick the blade EVERY time you use it! Scalpel blades trade durability for their unquestionable sharpness. If you hang yours from a lanyard around your neck because it would just get lost in the chasm of a pocket, as I do, it is VERY easy to forget to close it… which CAN lead to some unpleasantness. Be sure to close it… or pay the toll it demands in blood! Don’t ask. 🥴 As long as you do that, the blade will not open on its own. Definitely do not allow someone to ‘test’ its sharpness by placing their finger on the sharp side of the blade. Neither of you will be happy with the outcome. Well, you might be, but don’t laugh at them until they’re behind the closed doors of the ER getting stitches! Then it’s safe to laugh… if not morally questionable. 😁

Great for appropriate uses. 👍🏼
A slightly larger handle on this scalpel allows better control for detailed cuts. I find these miniature tools great for miniature models and very light cutting. Being able to purchase the blades by the bulk, makes them more cost effective than Exacto blades, though not as durable. It does not have a locking blade, but I wouldn't want to carry this in my pocket. It folds nicely to fit in a tool box preventing blade damage and finger sticks.

Itty Bitty
It does a good job, being all tiny and sharp. Only :( about it is there's no locking mechanism, just ok friction. So be careful don't go crazy unless your fine with some of your finger missing. Ok bye (-w-).

Nice scalpel holder
This little scalpel holder is a little larger than the barebones foldables I’ve had before, and this gives me a better handle for using it. My old fingers aren’t dexterous enough to flip it open like on vids I’ve seen but it opens easily and securely. I’m liking it and bought a second one.

Extremely dangerous. Doesn't lock open and will close on you at anytime
I highly recommend you stay away from this product. As the bades are very shar which is a good thing, But It does not lock open and that is extremely dangerous when your using it that it can close on you cutting you extremely bad. This item is very bad because it doesn't lock open. That is a serious safety concern and that only would get zero stars if I could.

Cool looking and fun to open ....dangerous to use!
This is a cool looking scalpel and has a fun action when you're opening it. The problem with it is that it does not lock into place when it's open. That said in my opinion it's quite dangerous to use for any real application. If that's the case, then what's the point of it at all? I have basically resorted to using it as a letter opener and that's it.
