Super absorbant
The bath mat sucks up all water and is perfect for a shower mat. It works great and looks great. The dark color is a nice bold piece on my floor and the size is enough to protect the ground from any water.

Dries almost instantly! Can't get the smell out!
This review is for the Stone Bath Mat - XL Size - Non-Slip Diatomite Earth Mat.* When I first cleaned the bath mat under running water for 10 seconds and flipped it over, I noticed how quickly it had dried. ALMOST INSTANTLY! QUITE INCREDIBLE, ACTUALLY! The water did come out quite gray/black, so I really recommend running under water for 10 seconds, at least twice, before using.* The stone bath mat has a very peculiar odor which did not subside even after rinsing twice. It is quite strong. So much that my whole house has a lingering smell, which is not pleasant at all! That being said, I did expect some type of smell from the stone material, what I did not expect is that even after cleaning and leaving it outside, under the shade for 6 days, it still smells quite strong.*I do find this bath mat quite useful if you have toddlers/kids in the house. We all know the struggle to get them in the bath and then the struggle to get them out of it later on. Water splashed everywhere...walls, floor, toilet...you name it! This, at least, maintains the floor in front of the bathtub completely dry, so there are no slips to be worried about!*The Nur Essentials mat is solid and sturdy, which is what I wanted, since I saw some listings for flexible ones that I did not like at all. It is thick (as seen in the pictures), which contributes to its durability.*The package included an anti-skid base pad, and an instruction manual. However, I did not receive the sanding tool, contrary to what the listing mentioned. This is a bummer, since the tool is needed for cleaning the mat and restoring its absorbency later on.*The anti-bacterial properties of the material give me peace of mind, not like the normal "fluffy" bath rugs that harbor all kinds of bacteria and mold quickly and need to be cleaned and dried constantly.

Very happy with this diatomite mat. We use it for drying dishes. Well-made and well-priced.
I received this through the Vine Program in exchange for my honest review. I like this Nur Essentials Stone Bathmat (XL Size Diatomite Earth Mat), which we are using for one of it's other "multifunctional" uses - as a dish drying mat. It is well-constructed, a good size (roughly 24"x15"), effective, and fairly/competitively priced for this type of product ($29.99 at the time of writing). We got this to replace another similarly sized diatomaceous drying mat we got not too long ago from a brand called ZUZO. That one, unfortunately, warped and bowed early in its use and was no longer functional. It was also prone to staining because it was made to look like Carrara marble, so it was predominantly white. It required constant sanding of the spots. It was also priced at $74.99! Which is ridiculous (I was fortunate to get that through the Vine Program as well). This Nur Essentials mat is - in every meaningful way - far better than the one we had before. It is the same length and width but a bit thicker and discernably stronger in construction. It is dark gray, so it hides any staining pretty well (and it sands very easily with the fine-grit sanding paper they include). The nice-looking grooves are not only decorative but also help disperse any liquid quickly, leading to faster absorption. It has not warped, chipped, or otherwise taken damage under continuous use in our "do dishes mainly by hand" household. It is used for drying several times a day. And it looks nice enough that I don't mind leaving it out on the counter, even when I hide the dishrack I put on top of it. I appreciate that my dishes dry faster, my counters stay dry, and I don't have a soggy or damp towel to rehang or wash constantly. NOTE: The pictures I've included show it still drying, not stained. The price is fair. It is certainly multiples lower than the other disappointing product I mentioned and is comparable to other similarly constructed diatomaceous mats.I can't comment on its use as a bathmat, only as a drying mat. It seems a bit small for a bathmat, but I am a plus-sized guy.I recommend this product, and it made me happy to give these "trendy" diatomaceous house products another try.

Interesting bath mat
I was looking for a non-slip bath mat because we are getting older and do not want to risk a fall. When I came across this 'stone' mat I decided to try it. It fits the need as it is non-skid and very absorbent. It dries really quickly and avoids the moisture on the floor tile that can cause a slip, so that is what we needed. I had to get used to the feel of it, but I have no complains. I don't know how it will hold up over time, but it looks nice and works well for now.

Good alternative to ordinary bath mats
I was a bit hesitant on getting the stone bath mat, having never used one before. I normally stick with microfiber shower rugs, but they only last so long before they start to not look great anymore. After using the stone mat for a couple months, I'm very pleased with it. The mat dries in only a few minutes after exiting the shower, and is easy to clean. It takes some getting used to at first, but at this point I have no intention of going back to ordinary fabric shower rugs.

Invest in one that comes with a grip underneath.
Warped with moisture, and subsequently broke. Only in use about a month or so.
