I have another Frigidaire AC, 10,000 BTU, which I’ve had it for about 4 years. It’s still working perfectly. When I needed a smaller unit, 5000 BTU, I decided to go with Frigidaire again.This unit is obviously smaller and weights less. But it is doing a terrific job of cooling a smaller room. The noise level is about what I anticipated. Not super quiet, but it just becomes background noise that does not disturb me. I like the fact that it comes with a remote control. The side panels fit perfectly from one side of the window to the other without leaving any noticeable gap. The manufacturer also includes gap seal foam to plug smaller openings so no cold air escapes. Frankly, there is nothing negative I can say about this unit. I wanted small, trustworthy and reliable. I got it. Oh, and I also got it at a really good price so that was also a plus.

This may be a compact, 5,000 BTU unit, but it’s incredibly powerful. Cools well beyond its stated square footage. Easy to install, easy to control, not too noisy. Would recommend. Great value for the price.

Very good air conditioner. Quiet and cools room quickly. Filter is easy to remove and clean with flip down door. Some others use a filter that slides into a slot and can jam but not these. Reasonably quiet seems like a solid well built AC. Highly recommend this is a quality unit at a good price.

i got this because it comes with a remote and it is 5000btu i have a GE 5000 BTU , i put it in a bathroom and leave the door open with a fan blowing out so it can cool one bedroom but the problem with this unit is its limited it doesn't work like a real window unit traditionally , i got this one also for the digital thermometer but it only goes to 60 f and it doesnt cool nonstop at any point i dont care how hot it is noise depends on the insulation you put on your window its quite, small but if your ok with getting up working get the GE 5000btu one it will cool none stop until the thromomiter gets cold and u can use a hair dryer to make it come on in the cold seasons or nights , this Frigidare one i thought would be better from reviews and specs but im gonna return theis and keep my GE 5000btu window unit the only problem i had with it was it didnt come on during cooler nights and it doesnt have a remote but atleast it can cool like crazy im talking 64 61 f . it has mild cooling.

Bought two, one was great, one was broken (read that in a few other reviews as well). Returned it for a new one and so far, both have been solid. They are in small bedrooms and the kids claim they are quieter than previous Media window AC’s. We’ll see how durability is but I got them at a very good price and they’ve done the job so far.

It seems to cool okay, but dealing with the company has not been pleasant. It was advertised as quiet, so I got it for my daughter's room, but it makes beeping noises when turning on and off or changing settings. This greatly upsets my disabled daughter with sensory issues. So I tried to contact the company to see if there was any way to disable the beeping sound or if they had any that didn't beep. The first problem is there is no option to email or chat that I have found. It takes a phone call. Phone calls are extremely stressful for me, and in this day and age they are not necessary. I eventually found a way to email them through a different website, but have been getting a runaround. All they needed to do was clarify if I could disable the beeps or get one that doesn't beep. Instead, I just get checklists and canned advice that does not apply at all. They have never answered the question; they just waste my time with false promises of help. So, disappointed in the product because of the beeps. Very disappointed in the company for lack of available help.

The heat & air pump went out on us and we just don't have the money to replace it now. I have been basically living out of my bedroom due to pet damage/filth concerns due to my niece moving in with her 4 cats that she refuses to clean up after. I am planning on getting a new home as soon as possible but we all know how hard that is to do in today's economy. I have been suffering through several summers now where it has been so hot in my bedroom that the sweat was just rolling off of me and me shirtless with a fan blowing directly on me. This window unit has been a Godsend to me. There was no way I was going to suffer through another summer having to deal with daily 90+ degree temps in my bedroom. I had this unit installed in a little over an hour and it wouldn't have taken that long but I cleaned the windows real good while I was at it. I guess it was close to 90 degrees in my room when I installed the ac unit so I set the thermostat on 68 degrees and within an hour my room was actually freezing cold, lol....now that I have my bedroom temp. under control I normally keep the ac thermostat set between 72-75 degrees. Most times I leave it on 74 and I am now always comfortable. I can now sit at my desk and actually get important things done. Before, when it was so hot in here, I just couldn't focus on anything. It was just too hot to really deal with anything. I am extremely satisfied with this unit and I have been using it for several days now. I got the electronic control version instead of the simple knobs. I know it is about $30 more but it is well worth it. I can now set the thermostat and forget about the ac unit and get on with my work or even game play on my pc. This is a great buy. I highly recommend it and anyone who puts out a review claiming that it is too loud obviously has never used a fan. This window unit makes less noise than the pedestal fan I was using. I can barely hear it. I can't even hear it at all if I am watching a video. I got the new 2025 version so I can't say anything about the older units. I imagine they are all pretty much made the same but I wanted a new product. So many times when you buy something online it will say "NEW" and that is partly true because it has never been used but a lot of times you are buying old stock that has been sitting on the shelf or in the warehouse for years. Always check the manuf. date before you buy anything so you know what you are getting. I have bought things before thinking them to be new items only to find out they were made almost 10 years ago and already outdated, lol Buyers beware of this kind of thing. Nothing against Amazon here. Amazon is always straight up about the manuf. date and where the product was made. I am a big supporter of Amazon and they have always resolved any problems I have ever had which have been very few. This review has nothing to do with any promotion and I don't get anything if someone buys one of these. I bought this after looking through the options that Amazon had.
