We only have window units at our home. We had a Frigidaire from the late 2000's that came with our house. It was the smallest, lightest unit that we had, and it worked better than all others. When that unit finally developed a front leak, it was time for a replacement. I ordered this one with digital controls, and I am extremely satisfied. First: the unit is very light and compact, which is great for easy installation in any style of window. When I turned it on, it quickly began cooling, and had a very quiet compressor. I'm able to customize the cooling level using controls on the unit, or on the included remote. Before I leave, I set the temp higher and run it on eco. It will automatically turn off and on as cooling is needed, saving a lot of energy. The only weird thing with this unit is the lack of a drain hole at the bottom, which is an option I like on my window units, as the sound of pinging water in the pan is slightly annoying. However, even with a pan full of water after running in humid temps, the sound is very subtle. The unit does spray its condensate out of the top of the unit like a sprinkler as the fan hits the water, which is interesting. I am considering buying more of these to replace all of our older units.

Arrived fast, packaged extremely well and includes everything you need. Not heavy at all. Awesome Quiet unit. Love it has directional options and both unit and remote controls. Cooled bedroom fast. Because house windows upstairs are smaller had to make minor adjustments. Runs quiet and strong. Didn't hesitate to order a second one and return the Big Heavy U shaped one.

Last update: finally got a replacement that broke within 5 minutes of turning it on. Not excited to go through the process with Frigidaire again to get money back. Complete waste of time and money do not get this AC. NEW UPDATE: Frigidaires warranty process is a complete and utter joke. I have spent 2 months going back and forth with them telling me they will get it replaced and I will hear back in X amount of business days, never hear back and then am told its because I didnt' give them some weird document I was never told about. I suspect I will never get this refunded or replaced and am just out some money. At least it was 'only" $200. DONT BUY IT. Well, after writing this update the unit stopped working entirely and can’t get it to work again. After less than a month of use. Don’t recommend. For the price, it works just fine to cool off my bedroom. However it’s a bit loud. The only other window unit I’ve used is the Midea U shaped which I didn’t want to get again since mine developed mold (and based on reviews, a common issue), but this is much louder. So if you’re sensitive to a fairly loud hum of AC this may not be the right fit for you. But it works well and was light!

Air conditioner arrived in good condition and packed well. It came with the necessary mounting hardware. Took me about 30 to 45 minutes to install in my window. I'm glad I purchased the remote control model. It is very convenient and works very well. The unit seems to be of very good quality, much better than my old Frigidaire that lasted over 7 years. The filter on that one broke, and was of flimsy, poor quality. This new one is much easier to remove and better-made. My bedroom is around 130 square ft. It cools quickly and cycles on and off. It is also quieter than my old unit. I've had it about a week, and so far I love it. I recommend it for a small to mid-sized room.

Well packaged... Amazon outside box and manufacturers inside box. Zero damage!! Installing was a breeze. It also comes with remote and side screen kit..WOW other units charge extra. The is also a top rail (5screws) that keep the unit from falling out and as a guide for the side curtains kit. I'm 70 so heavy things prove to be hard for me. To my surprise the unit only weighed 35lbs!!! When I was finished with adding the supplied insulation. I turned it on and couldn't believe how Quite it was. I literally had to put my ear up to it. It's been going as I am writing this review and I'm already cooling of. This is a quality AC unit 5k btu with remote. Super quiet. Update: This is the best window AC I've ever owned!!

The heat & air pump went out on us and we just don't have the money to replace it now. I have been basically living out of my bedroom due to pet damage/filth concerns due to my niece moving in with her 4 cats that she refuses to clean up after. I am planning on getting a new home as soon as possible but we all know how hard that is to do in today's economy. I have been suffering through several summers now where it has been so hot in my bedroom that the sweat was just rolling off of me and me shirtless with a fan blowing directly on me. This window unit has been a Godsend to me. There was no way I was going to suffer through another summer having to deal with daily 90+ degree temps in my bedroom. I had this unit installed in a little over an hour and it wouldn't have taken that long but I cleaned the windows real good while I was at it. I guess it was close to 90 degrees in my room when I installed the ac unit so I set the thermostat on 68 degrees and within an hour my room was actually freezing cold, lol....now that I have my bedroom temp. under control I normally keep the ac thermostat set between 72-75 degrees. Most times I leave it on 74 and I am now always comfortable. I can now sit at my desk and actually get important things done. Before, when it was so hot in here, I just couldn't focus on anything. It was just too hot to really deal with anything. I am extremely satisfied with this unit and I have been using it for several days now. I got the electronic control version instead of the simple knobs. I know it is about $30 more but it is well worth it. I can now set the thermostat and forget about the ac unit and get on with my work or even game play on my pc. This is a great buy. I highly recommend it and anyone who puts out a review claiming that it is too loud obviously has never used a fan. This window unit makes less noise than the pedestal fan I was using. I can barely hear it. I can't even hear it at all if I am watching a video. I got the new 2025 version so I can't say anything about the older units. I imagine they are all pretty much made the same but I wanted a new product. So many times when you buy something online it will say "NEW" and that is partly true because it has never been used but a lot of times you are buying old stock that has been sitting on the shelf or in the warehouse for years. Always check the manuf. date before you buy anything so you know what you are getting. I have bought things before thinking them to be new items only to find out they were made almost 10 years ago and already outdated, lol Buyers beware of this kind of thing. Nothing against Amazon here. Amazon is always straight up about the manuf. date and where the product was made. I am a big supporter of Amazon and they have always resolved any problems I have ever had which have been very few. This review has nothing to do with any promotion and I don't get anything if someone buys one of these. I bought this after looking through the options that Amazon had.

Seems to run fine, but have not put in a window yet! Just plugged in to hear it. It's not exactly quiet, but tolerable. Bought used so I'm not sure I can be disappointed, but I am lol. Didn't expect this much damage! Not sure if I should return and buy new! You get what you pay for I guess!
