Excellent Magnetic Pickup Tool – Strong Magnet and Very Handy
This telescoping magnetic pickup tool works fantastic. The magnet is strong, the extension works smoothly, and it makes picking up dropped screws, bolts, and tools incredibly easy. Not a strong magnet pull
In all fairness, it is magnetic and it will pick up metal things. But having used other devices, this one has a very weak “pick up”. You basically have to be able to see the metal you’re trying to get up for it to pick it up. I’ve used others that will pull up hidden metal from gravel and sand much better than this one. Specifically, we’re trying to pick up metal roofing shards, and nails from a recent re-roofing. The magnet the roofers used afterwards was fantastic, but they took that away with them. So we tried this one, and it isn’t that good.

Excellent! Used it on a dirt floored barn and it picked up a 1/2 gallon bucket full of nails and screws and such. I did have to rake the dirt and then use the magnet as I went but it sure does beat bending over and finding them by sight. Excellent Tool!

Should do what I need.
Looks like it will do the job. I have a lot of nails to pickup outside, where I burnt down an old shed.I doubt that this can lift 50 lbs unless it is something with a large flat metal surface, and even weight distribution. Should catch nails though.The plastic used stinks. BTW. Will be living in my work shop though.
