These are the biggest reasons to buy this wallet. They effect your life dozens of times a day. - It slides in and out of your pants easily - Gives you quick access to what's inside (without fighting a strap or zipper) - It securely holds cards, cash, pen and Pocket notebook without be any bigger than it needs to be. - It's simple - Field Notes can come in and out of the wallet easily as needed...but they don't HAVE to come out to write on Here's the other reasons that seem more important when shopping (but don't matter as much day-to-day compared to the list above) - It looks really nice in person. - It feels like it's going to last a long time. - It will hold a pen clipped on the inside of the spine w/o bunching up anything inside or hanging out. - There's no crap hanging on the outside to get hung up (or fall off). Everything is both inside and securely inside due to the simple, yet effective design. - It protects the field notebooks - It's very inexpensive for what you get. I don't see any downsides but I can anticipate some things people won't like. -Its bigger than a minimalist wallet - However I don't think it could be any smaller and still be a wallet that holds field notes and a pen. - There isn't a ton of extra storage - However, I kinda like this too. There's plenty of room for things I need to carry in a wallet but that's about it. In summary, I love this thing. Reduces all the friction of pocket journaling. I can have an idea and be jotting it down 3 seconds later and have everything back in my pocket 3 seconds after I'm done writing. ProTip: I really like Field Notes but I've found that the cheaper off brand notebooks are better. Better binding, 60 pages, and cost about a dollar. I also like the bare Kraft covers because it gives me a place to put stuff that matters to me. (I'll draw my own ruler if I need one.) I still think Field Notes are cool but work in the cheapies a lot as well to bring the costs of use down.

Easily shows wear. Leather feels great, the card pockets are great. My Moleskin notepad fits perfectly and easily moves when folding the leather or laying it flat - perfect. Not a fan of branding in general, but at least it is in the lower right corner on the inside, and looks decent and not visually-obtrusive.

I wanted to switch to a billfold that was a little thinner and didn’t sit so odd in my back pocket, this was the ticket. Being previously a serial loser of Field Notes books, this has helped data logging quite a bit. Since I’d rather not lose my ID and CC’s, I now can say I’ve gone a few months and not lost a book yet. The leather is great. It’s extremely well put together and hasn’t stretched super wild at all yet. I fit three cards in both pockets and bank notes sit neatly in the back page of my data book, I don’t fold my bank notes into the pocket but could if I wanted. I find myself carrying a lot more personal items within the pockets now and still have room for growth. I’m stunned how much I like it. I doubt it’ll go bad anytime soon, but if it does you bet I’ll buy another. Solid choice. EDIT: The leather is tanning a darker shade of brown with each passing month. I try to flip flop the fold in my pocket to keep an even coloring and it seems to be darkening nicely. None of the stitches have come undone yet which is awesome as well, which I failed to mention previously.

So far so good. Very easy to scratch but gives some character. Color fades with the scratches. Fits in my pocket fine. Smells like leather. Holds cards fine. Holds notebooks fine. Only gripe is that it’s too small to put cash flat. Have to fold it. Other that that it’s goin fine

This is a first impressions review of the leather journal cover. Very well packaged and seems to be very well constructed. Came in a simple cardboard package that once opened you find the item in a nice cotton bag. Once removed the smell of leather is so nice, not to strong but enough that you know that it is a quality leather item and not some synthetic infused leather. It was almost hard to believe that this item comes from China. I really dont like to purchase items from china but with build quality and construction for the price this would be a hard item to pass on. Time will tell how durable the item is, but I look forward to using it. I did catch this on a flash sell and it was only $15 but I feel like it would still be a very good deal at the current price.

Amazing

This journal cover is of great quality and a perfect size and well-constructed design that is easy to carry and can even replace your traditional wallet to keep you better organized for EDC. However, the color is lighter than what's pictured. The only issue I encountered was that when I stored a pen (Uniball Micro 207 Plus .5mm) inside along the spine, it would protrude excessively at the top. To resolve this, I made a slot for the pen as shown in the photos. Now the pen sits flush.

Good quality, adequate size (not gonna fit in your shirt pocket). I keep all my certs and safety cards in here and have a regular pad for notes tucked in. Pen sits just aside it perfectly. Honestly couldn't improve it without complicating it. Basic, functional, quality, I dig it. Actual leather. Blackrock is the magic juice for leather. Buy a jar, you'll understand far before its gone, because it goes a long way.

After reading some of the reviews I was expecting it to be underwhelming but this is exactly what I wanted! The leather is good quality but not too thick, the stitching seems strong and the pockets are all flawless. I think I'm going to cut a notch out for my pen so it doesn't stick up so high but this exceeds all my expectations! Really happy with it!

自分はDIALOG NOTEBOOKに使っています。 3.5inch x 5.5inch、9cm x 14cmのノートであれば大丈夫なようです。 作りがしっかりしていて、革の質感からも多少雑に扱っても 耐えられそうな感じがするので、 外出する際にはそのままズボンなどのポケットにつっこんで 常に肌身離さず持ち歩けています。 革は程よい厚みと硬さがあり、筆記する際にはしっかりホールドしてくれて書きやすく、 ノートやカード類など中身の形状に合わせて僅かに変形するので、 経年変化を楽しいと感じられる方には、自分のものになっていくように 感じられると思います。 -- 追記（2025/12/04） 購入から約2年経ちました。 カバンに入れたりポケットに入れたりと雑な扱いをしてきましたが、 表面に傷がつくくらいで、縫製がほどけたりボロボロになったりすることなく 使えています。

革の質感も良いし気に入っています。開いて右側の表紙を挟むポケットはもう少し大きくても良いかなと思う。
