What is different between this device and an actual CAT that makes it a training device only?

I don't believe there is any difference. I can pass on what was told to me in various courses. "The idea behind the different color is so you don't constantly use ones in training that will be used in actual emergencies." The concern is that one used in training over and over may be stressed and may not actually hold up as well when needed ( plastic buckel and Velcro). The colors do have meaning though. Black= tactical, red/orange= Fire/rescue, blue= training.

I have a Gen 4 Cat tourniquet. Is it ok to train with this trainer?
