I have had a PowerPet door for about 16 years now. I replaced my original door about 7 years go, because I got a larger dog - that one is still working, as we changed out the entire door and just kept the old door with the old PowerPet. This collar replacement is much better constructed than my original collars, and works quite well with my older door of 6 years. The batter comes installed so you don't need to insert one of the replacement batteries, it works right out of the package once you pull the little protective tab. I appreciate getting the two additional batteries. I really like these doors, and while they can be an expensive initial investment it is well worth it for many reasons.

They don’t last long. At 54 per one (i have 2dogs) it’s extremely expensive to keep purchasing replacements. Very unfortunate Update: this company is amazing. They refunded my money for my last purchase directly from them. I couldn’t believe it. I am revising the review to 100% satisfied. Thank you for such a quick response

This works very well. My advise would be to order a second transmitter just in case it gets lost (it happened to us). The secondary transmitter we bought as a backup was made by the same company, works well but is half the cost.

Best invention in the world for this lazy mom with 3 dogs. Of course you need the door to go with them, but these magical little collars let my dogs let themselves out whenever they so please. They work just fine and run on a disc battery. I wish I didnt have to unscrew a screw to change the battery. Would prefer a convenient clasp or something instead, but its probably for dog safety reasons so I won't complain.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Product worked fine initially but over a couple months became unreliable. Note this product is not waterproof as advertised and water leaks into it causing damage. This is the second one that I’ve had that says it’s waterproof and still leaks. Functionality: Not consistent working to open door UPDATE: the company reached out to me and let me know they guaranteed their products. They were kind enough to ship me replacements. Great customer service.

The collar works GREAT! The only problem we have had is the plastic breaking off the back of the sensor where the collar feeds through. We super glued it back on but that doesn't hold for long. I have a large dog and if the sensor is on the top of his neck, it will hit the frame. I wish the back side was made sturdier so I wouldn't have to repair it. Other than this problem the system works great

Perfect replacement for the auto dog door. The last went 4 years before failing to function. I consider that a good run.
