VERMONT SOAP Castile Soap Unscented, Liquid Soap, Natural Body Wash, 1 GAL

We've been on the hunt for a decent replacement for Dr Bronner's liquid castile soap...4 brands later, we've finally found it! This soap is great! Smells fresh, great lather, gentle on skin, and is overall natural, safe, and effective! I like it even better than Dr Bronner's! Returning to purchase again!

Love the smell! I use it as shower gel and hand soap with it watered down for a foam dispenser. Absolutely love the way I smell after a shower or washing my hands. Definitely a new favorite!! Works great with my sensitive skin and love the versatility of the liquid castile soap.

Very thin - this is already diluted - you wouldn't want to dilute it any further - that's the reason for the lost star. But the scent is very lovely on the skin. It does smell a little weird while you're washing with it, but the scent it leaves is heavenly. I feel it's a little too pricey for how thin it was - if it was like most other castile soaps that I've used and a bit thicker in viscosity/strength, it would be a 5 star product. But if you like the scents of both patchouli and rose, this really does shine in this product. I know some folks have said it's hard to smell the rose - it is a bit hard to detect it during washing, but again, where this one shines is the scent it leaves behind, and you can very definitely smell a perfect blend of rose and patchouli once you're done washing. Note: I've only used it for hand washing and as a bodywash, and it's perfect for that even if it's a bit thin.

This is a multi-purpose soap. I even use it to clean my outdoor vinyl fence. It is safe around my plants, shrubs and trees. No harsh ingredients to harm the landscaping. I also use it as a hand soap and mix it with water in my foaming bottle. It makes for a rich and luxurious soap. It feels very silky soft on my skin. The smell is clean and inviting. It is versatile, effective and therefore economical. It’s gentle but itgets the job done without the harsh chemicals. Ditch the other soaps and use this one instead.

Love the scent of this soap! A little bit goes along way. I have been adding this to my bath tub. I like that it doesn’t leave a residue on my skin. It leaves my skin feeling clean. I have also been using it to do laundry and adding vinegar with it also and it seems to be working well to get my clothes clean. I have had no skin irritation at all with this product. The only thing I noticed is it does leave a film on the bathtub.

Good product but the scent is faint

I had been using Beekman 1801 Pure Goat Milk Soap, and would buy it in bulk. But for whatever the reason, the last batch made my skin itch. So, off I go, on the hunt for something new. I purchased my first 33 oz bottle of the Vermont Liquid Castile Soap, Unscented, in early March, and I’m almost finished with the bottle. So almost two months worth of soap. I’m buying the 64 oz bottle today! I LOVE IT! NO HEADACHES, NO ITCH! I wash my hair, body and face with it, and no more itchy skin! It took a while to get used to washing my hair with it. I have long thick hair, and this is what I do: 1). Mix about 1T of the Castile soap with 1/2 cup of water. 2). Wet hair thoroughly. 3). Pour the soap mixture from step 1 onto your hair. 4). Wash and rinse the soap off really well. 5). Use apple cider vinegar and water as a final rinse, it smooths the hair. 1T vinegar to 16 oz water. 6). I like using Jojoba oil on the ends of my hair while it’s damp. What’s left on my hands, I wipe all over my hair. You’ll have to experiment to see what works best for you. 7). Blow dry as usual, or not. 8). I wash my hair every other day. Your mileage may vary. I get compliments on my hair, it’s shiny! I do not color my hair, so I don’t know how this soap will work on dyed hair. Thank you Vermont Soap! You have a customer for life!
