As a Trainer this is GREAT!
I am a professional dog trainer and behaviourist. I have used countless numbers of clickers over the years. Although I have practiced juggling lead, clicker, treats and dog, when working with clients this is often tricky and it effects the timing of the click which can delay training. Having this attached to the lead is a huge benefit and it is so much easier to train lead work with this device. I love it and recommend it to everyone!

Well Made Clicker
This is a well made item designed to be used with single ply flat leads up to 25.4mm wide. The theory behind the device is sound but we have found that patience is required to get dogs to understand the meaning of the clicker.

Works with the right kind of lead
Attaching to the lead, this is makes sure you don’t have to remember yet another thing when walking the dog, as if you’ve got the lead you’ve also got this. Attaching it to the lead (near your hand) means it should never be out of reach so you can praise the dog as and when deserved. It does warn you though, not to use it as a handle on the lead and Clik-R is not the easiest device to fit, requiring some force to separate the two halves so if you have weak hands (a.g. arthritis) it may not be for you.The click in mine did not, at first, work reliably, and it took some working it back and forward manually before I could get it to work every time. Since then I’ve had no trouble with it, though I find I use it more often as a pocket based clicker than one attached to a lead. Mostly because I really like the retractable lead type which, sadly, this really doesn’t work at all well with. That said on the normal lead it’s fine, though some may find the lump of plastic dangling off the end of the lead a little distracting. If you’ve never used a clicker before, there are (short) paper instructions and a link to a website that tells you what to do, once you get the hang of it, it is really quite simple. If you’ve used a clicker before then you will not need that, and my dog recognised this as being the same ‘reward’ sound as emitted by our other clicker, so you shouldn’t need to worry about confusing your pet.The packaging looks hard to open, like you’ll need a knife or scissors, but on the back there is a tear open panel, making this one of the easiest to open plastic enclosures I’ve seen.At heart it does what it claims, but I’d say you should only get it if you’re either used to a clicker or you’re happy to put the work in training your dog, it can take some time and effort, and then only if you use the right kind of lead.

Pointless
For me this was useless.I put it on my lead, i have a 25mm lead and i found this really hard to get on.It was hard enough to try and do it up without the lead, but with it in, it took me about 5 minutes to get it to snap into place. In practice it was a waste of time, my dog takes no notice of it at all.

Convenient
For anyone doing clicker training this has to be handy. It makes for easy access and emits the familiar loud click noise. It works well and really makes this element of training convenient.Would recommend.

Would be great if it was easier to fit
The click system of training is a good one and proven to be successful, so in general these sort of treat-dispensing clicking products are useful. However the point of this one is that it is supposed to attach easily to a lead, but this doesn't seem to be the case. Getting it onto a lead is an arduous job that can hurt your fingers. Okay perhaps if you are planning on always keeping it on the same lead, but not great if you want to use it with different leads.
