This great to learn about hydraulics and I consider it better than other items you have to assemble like legos, etc. because of the educational value. It is fully functional and provides hours of entertainment and although it was purchased for my grandson, I also am enjoying playing with it with my grandson. The instructions are very clear and the parts are well built, especially for the 'roughness' of a 10 year old assembling it. There is lots of value to this item and it is much more than a mere toy!
